Share useful Hard Mode tips.
Wondering if anyone is willing to give some general tips on how to progress more comfortably while sharing some of my own.

Shot Focus Module:
Litterally the only Descendant module in the game that gives +Firearm% damage. Up to 15%. Only obtainable through Combining. Please combine all your Purple mods for the extremely rare chance of obtaining this Module.

Module general tips:
-Browse the module list at least once. Some modules might exist you arent aware of that can make builds. First Shot for Snipers or the Dangerous Ambush Descendant modules are extremely good examples of this.

- Combine constantly. Extremely useful and do not neglect this ever. Combining 4 Yellow mods has a 10% chance of a Red. Combine Reds for potential Reds you dont have.

-Farming weaker Hard bosses and combining Red Modules is a decent way to get those rarer modules even if not guranteed the one you want. Hard Mode bosses can also provide Modules not obtainable (or easily obtainable) anywhere else.

Executioner Boss:
This seems to be one of the major hurdles and stopgap for the rest of Hard Mode content simply because of 1 mechanic the game really has no obvious way of checking. He buffs himself to take about half damage at completely random times. You can see it while fighting him under his HP bar. Most people just overkill their DPS and barely squeak out a kill.

Farm the Module Absolute Curse to remove the buff when clutching on and breaking major parts. Annoying but doable. Inconsistent to use in Pubs.

You can however farm Piercing Light Ultimate Sniper. While more parts its still doable before successfully killing him. It also can remove the buff WAY more easily and more consistent. Materials 040, 074/102, 091, 118/109 give the parts you need. All parts have 32% drop rates except 040 with a 15% unfortunately.

Focus on HP. Forget DEF and never use resistances. Go ...

Increased HP

and

Battle of Stamina or HP Amplification depending on the character. Put Max HP on all your external components (look for double HP rolls).

You should have comfortably 10-18k HP or more depending on the toon. If you get to 10k DEF on top of that, you're doing well, but I don't usually waste slot.

For the bosses ... do SOLO void runs. Even if you don't beat the boss. Try and stay alive as long as you can. Learn the mechanics. Just run around, avoid the mechanics and do damage. For good builds, you should be able to solo everything up to where they stop letting you.

HP Collector is the best mod in the game for most descendants. Don't sleep on it.

What we really need is an English version of that info tool from Korean Nexon website about mod combining probabilities.

I realized this way too late. Focused too much on DEF and now I need to farm for HP rolls :steamsad:

I did the same. I thought who does not love mitigation! Live and learn.

You know I see alot of people saying this only build HP thing and Ive never followed it personally. I run +Def, Elemental Resistance allowed on the gear, and then another stat I think is useful. MP on some but Shield Regen on others. Then run HP, DEF, and Shield. I dont think its more efficient but I also litterally never go down unlike everyone else I play with.

I find it more versatile to have baseline Resistances for general PvE content and combining some Shield Recovery in Combat with the general Shield Recovery modifier actually works decently well. Def I know is useless after 50k but pumping it up past a small baseline is definetly noticable as I simply face tank Hard mode bosses attacks with ease.

Maybe ill farm some HP gear and see if it works. I only worry about Intercept bosses since those HP drops can be iffy to rely on.
Shield for anyone but Kyle, maybe Enzo is 100% useless. Shield doesn't use any sort of dmg mitigation, once you're dealing with mobs over lvl30, shield just goes pop in 1 hit.

In normal diff, elemental res isn't needed for any of it. Hard, elemental gets hit as hard as base dmg, but only when dealing with bosses, standard mobs still do almost none. The big elemental dmg hits are avoidable, the not avoidable ones do not much.

Best tip I could give anyone, would be to focus on weapons. They are usable on any descendant.
On weapons, just doing more base attack power, no crit or weakpoint (unless the weapon has base over 25% crit rate)
1:1, +firearm attack gives more dps. 10% attack = 10% add base dmg, 10% crit = 1% add to base crit, 10% weakpoint = 0.1% add to base weakpoint.

Crit multiples base attack by 2 or 3 depending on if its 1.0 or 2.0. Weakpoint does the same. Hitting a weakpoint with a crit, that is base attack x2-3, crit then multiples that total by 2-3. Elemental dmg never gets multiplied,

So once you max base attack, go for clip size and then reload speed, followed by attack speed. If the clip size is under 10, don't buff clip and goes reload instead. If attack speed is under 100, don't buff that, go reload speed instead. If all are low, find another module for buffing base attack some how ( High-Impact have a gold mod for +100-200% firearm attack for next shot after reload with no negatives )
