How grindy is the game?
Just wondering how grindy it is. I don't play games much anymore so I do not have the effort to add a time sink game. My live service of choice is Destiny 2 as I been playing it since the beta & only have to play like 3 hours a week at this point. This game looks okay but the thought of a severe grind has prevented me even trying it out. The max I am interested in playing a live service game per week is an hour a day tops. Does this fit into that?

Edit: I decided I am not going to bother

If I was Nvidia I would call this grind :
Extreme Omega RTX Ultra Grindforce Super 6969 Mega Second Edition Deluxe Plus.

If this gives you an idea ...
Most of the good stuff is locked behind multiple %random instances which can be very low.
Roll 20% to get a relic, then roll 3-10% getting whatever item you want. Then repeat that HUNDREDS of times.

You can get a 3% drop from the second opening and not get a 20% in 28 tries (my story). So if you generally dislike grinding this much - game is not for you

Destiny 2 have much more and stupid grind

Oof, fair enough. I already had my fair share of that kinda stuff in Destiny 2, I don't have it in me to do that all again haha

Depends on your goal. The Story doesn't need particularly high amounts of grind and many characters can be unlocked relatively easy. For the endgame content and Ultimate-weapons and characters however the grind is definitely quite big.

The game can be heavy on the grind side, but it is RNG based, so grind might be good at some points, and hellish long at others, ultimately, it all depends on what you are interested in building.

Competent characters are given basically for free, same for competetent weapons, very early on the game.

If you want to be a completionist, then the grind will certainly be long, it is unlikely you'll be lucky at getting everything.

On the other hand, it is f2p, and not entirely predatory (means, you do not need to spend any money in order to progress at a realistic pace, despite prices being way too high for what they are) if you have no problems with dev's EULA and stuff, just give it a go.

I think no matter what anyone say, if you can afford to give it one or two hours with no money involvement, should do, my appraisal of the game can be different from yours

An infinite grind in this game. it's never enough materials, gold, parts, exp. You get tasks like defeat 300 bosses and kill 200 000 enemies for the next 2 months ahead.

It's basically the same as D2 as far as grind goes. D2 might be harder tbh and your forced to play coop to get good stuff at least you can solo grind TFD and not have to rely on 6 people to be ready for a 16 hour raid. 🤣🤣

It is a grind simulator.

After finishing the story, the gameplay loop is grinding. If you want to improve your character, your weapons, get new characters, or get more ultimate weapons; you need to grind.

This can involve running the same 2 minute mission over and over again. Then going to another mission to repeat and collect materials. Then going to a third mission to summon a mini-boss. Then opening 1 of the loot boxes you got from the first mission, and hoping you get the item you wanted. Otherwise repeat this third mission until you run out of materials or loot boxes.

On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the most grindy, this game is a 76.

It's not grindy if you don't grind. When I've tried to grind it's like 0% drop rate, even on the components with declared 38% chance (Enzo ang Gley schematic) due to the overly complicated gatcha-like entry ticket system :lunar2019madpig: To me it look like it's absolutely impossible to get an Ultimate descendant, for example: 0 parts drop after 150+ hours.

You clearly have never played Destiny 2 because majority of items you get easy and even the few items tied behind a raid have a pity system tied in. This garbage does not. Good luck grinding endless hours on hard for a 6% chance of a Ultimate code and thats just 1 out of 5 items and then take into account after the crazy amount of hours you put in to finally get those, then you need to craft them and wait days for those to finish.

This game wont last long unless they chill out on the RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG.
