The initial interest is usually higher than how many people actually stick around. Most games tend to lose 80% over the first month.

This is not pvp game. This kind of number is normal for pve. Many people already hit the end game. Many people hit the first wall in hard mode. Many people hit the end game farming. Many reasons.

this is pretty norm for all hyped games, I don't know why you are surprised. Do you still play all online games that came out? People check out the game, had their fun and move on, and the others found their niche and stick around until that niche dries up.

you must be new to any online games.

1. games new, and theres always gonna be a hype. that mostly comes from
A. streamers/tubers and all. and they, unfortunately, only play NEW games, for content farming.

2. People who play, JUST, to review the game after a hour or two, or maybe even less than that, and people who are just band wagoners, because they saw their, favorite tuber or twitch person, play this.

3. People who KNOW, NEXONS pass games, play this, just to throw it under shade, and give it no sense negative reviews, because its NEXON.

4. people who play it because resembles "Warframe/Destiny 2" go back to those games because this games simply a "copy and paste"

5. People who check the shop IMMEDIATELY they get control of their character, and even before attempting the story or gameplay, see it and say, "Oh its TOO EXPENSIVE for the packages! its pay to win!"

simply put, if people genuinely enjoy this game, they'll stick around. and sadly, most of those numbers during the HYPE, are from the people who i mentioned above.

I mean.. compared to Last Epoch that went from 250k to 60k in just 2 weeks after launch, TFD is in the good run while having a competitor (Once Human). Season 1 is also about to release first week of August.

As long as i dont have to wait more than 30 seconds for a mission im fine. I could care less about the numbers. Helldivers II plunmeted and is now going back up.

I spent 150 on this game and now im feeling like i woke up from a hangover and im asking myself, how much did i spend last night? Its time to move on to other things for now

That nature of live service games is players peak when new content does, aug 1 update has new content and descendants so player pop will increase again. /shrug

The number is irrelevant. 10 million people tried the game on consoles, PC was always a minority...

When the august update hits, the game count should go back above 100k for a week or so and dip back below 80k.
James_GT Jul 25, 2024 @ 8:28pm
the game is peaking over 110k daily. on pc alone. that's incredibly healthy for a game. why are we even talking about this?
JuiceMaker Jul 25, 2024 @ 8:30pm
grind is trash, so yea, dont expect players to last
Object108 Jul 25, 2024 @ 8:34pm
the drop rates and the overpricing for stuff would send any body running
