Do other players kills gouge XP?
So I've been playing for a while and I've noticed a bit of a thing.

I've been doing farming for levels so I can rank up my other Descendants and Bunny is the thing EVERYONE uses for obvious reasons. I'm curious because I've noticed that I get very strong bursts of xp near the start of the farms before the Bunny's start killing everything constantly, but then only get a VERY SLOW rate of XP once they do. Keep in mind I only kill like 30 enemies before they start, so the rate of kills is EXTREMELY low compared to how much the Bunny players kill.

So do other players kills gouge your own xp? Because if so why the hell aren't we mass reporting every single level 40 player who brings in Bunny to missions where people are trying to level?

If I'm wrong (and you have evidence) please tell me otherwise because it might just be something else like the game artificially doing it (Think year 1 destiny 2)

Only way you can really determine this is if you go kill a enemy then record the amount of mastery your say level 1 character got then record one with a team member killing and compare. Simple enough yeah? I haven't noticed a change but to level most of my characters I just did a few defense type operations like the block mining one for example which also allowed me to modify my gun slots and farm gold.

See thats what I did and thats why I think that. Its weird to me that I get bursts of xp when I'M killing them, but when a ally player gets the kills, I get barely any xp at all I'm half tempted to just try a solo game to see if I level up by myself because I dont when I'm with others. I only end up with half a xp bar

Those kind of operations can't be done solo though unless everyone leaves.

Because they have the same right to play the game you do? Because you could go Private if you don't want random people to 'steal your kills' in a multiplayer PvE game?

If in a party, all XP from kills is shared. Only difference is more XP goes to the weapon currently in use. So if you want to quickly lvl up high-impact weapons, run the wave missions with those equiped on chars that don't need a gun like Bunny or Valby.

Enemies in open lobbies are free for all, so don't even think about misusing the report system for something like that

And overall, bunny is used to make things go faster, not to steal XP from you. If you want to have everything yourself, then do so in private lobbies.

And overall, you get XP. Like i barely do anything in defense missions, because i dedicate myself to be the object defender most of the time, just in case something gets through and i still level my stuff quite good. I even use this to level my weak weapons in the beginning.

My friends get a tonne of levels when we play together and I smash everything as bunny to quick level them so no, there is no kill xp stealing in a party

You get 100% of the XP regardless if you kill them or not it works as long you are in the same party doesn't matter if your friend killing at the end of the map and you are at the beginning as long you and him in same party you get what he get.
and for the weapons you get 100% xp for the weapon you holding on your hands
and the other weapons you equipped get 50% or even less i didnt test but i know its way less than the weapon you currently holding in your hands

My main is Bunny, but I'm also leveling other characters as well. If you see me doing something that you don't like, politely ask me to stop doing, and I'll comply.
I see people complaining about bunny players doing this and that, but people can't read minds. Some players might be dbags, but not everyone.

All i know is that XP is not just a %amount per enemy etc, it is a % *chance* to drop xp on killing an enemy. So some enemies can drop no xp. Not entirely sure why it was made that way tho. And im also not sure how this is balanced around group play, not sure what they do there. But the previous part about xp% is true.

You get a burst burst of XP because Bunny nukes all of the horde of enemies at once. Then it becomes a trickle because she is taking them out as quickly as the spawn.

are you not saying the same thing here twice? Bunny nukes the hoards that spawn>bunny takes the hoards that spawn out quickly?
