Why don't encrypted vaults appear on the map?
I'm on the Vespers map and some encrypted vaults don't appear. What happens?

You are supposed to use TAB and follow the sound cue to find them, they are not supposed to be obvious.

Or, perhaps, you get sound cues that come from outside the map? Sometimes, you may be detecting a vault on the neighbouring map in this manner. It's a bit annoying.

THey do not appear you have to search for them with your TAB sonar.
They have random spawns.... per instance.
The difficulty is also random.
They simply didn't spawn. After someone uses them, they simply take quite a while.
Problem with sound only for detection is those that can't hear or have a hard time hearing. There needs to be a visual ping as well. You got those that are deaf playing, as well as those with heavy Tinnitus.
Also, what's up with the two different kinds of sounds when you scan?
I thought the non-directional deeper sound was to indicate you're near, but not close enough. The higher pitched sound that indicates direction should only happen when you're close enough? At least that'd make sense for me.

But as it is, it's completely random. I can be staring at an encrypted vault in front of me and still getting the useless non-directional sounds.
Do it on private.

Higher pitch means there is one inside a cone around the center of view that is in range of the scan. The duller one means there is one in range, but you're not looking in the right direction.
There is maps online you can use to go to the general location, then just start walking around. I wish you could place a pin on the map in-game instead of pinning the closest mission ><

This opinion is valid. But then what good are interactive maps if the safes are random?

They are random but they typicaly are always around places with that little hologram on the floor. That where interactive maps help you narrow down areas.
just play private and rotate the spawns on the map, usually 1-2 up in each zone then rinse/repeat.

They are not at random locations, just random if they are at their fixed location. That is where the maps help.

mmm no . The game is made for "standar" people , you cant pretend a game adapts to every disability .... if not , what happen with blind people ? we need to make an entire system for them to play ? and what happen with people without arms ? ....
