Its pretty self-explanatory is it not? They all give the same capacity points, the only difference in them is the "animation" or more accurately, what they modify in terms of their function.
Some launch like the kick
Shock punch has AOE knock up?
Something like that, very minor in actual fights
Late game melee is kinda trash
A shock is kicking the enemy and he is frozen in time for some seconds.
A sword makes only damage and no cc effect
Like if you have one of those immunity shield enemies run up on you, you can use shock punch on them. It will ignore their shield and send them up into the air then flat on their back. As they are sailing through the air and laying on the floor, you can be unloading on them.
I haven't tried tonfa.
I think that any melee besides claws can do that, you just need to use jump attack instead.
Everything can use the jump attack, but it is not the same results as what you get from shock punch, and many enemies can just catch you out of the air.
Hell, you can even get hit stunned mid air. Your character will just stagger and hang mid air, and potentially even get air comboed.
This.
I used Shock Punch at first but due to the very long cooldown, I would just use kick or normal punch instead. Since I don't need them to knock up in the air, just stagger long enough for me to shoot them.
