Any reason to wait on Ultimate Viessa?
Does she have anything significant over the base version? I will probably build her eventually, just for the extra Mastery Rank, but is there any reason to hold off on kitting out my base version now?

I already have one Spiral Catalyst and an energy activator on the base version because of the training bot's quests.

That's... pretty underwhelming. Thanks for the info though.

Yeah I can understand what you mean, it is maybe not worth the grind...

However with the module scaling the numbers can get pretty big and you might swap out modules to deal more damage since the base DEF en HP scales a lot higher when fully maxed out

I mean I already like how Viessa is working, I dropped one catalyst in her for the quest, and I was trying to decide whether to add more for extra performance or not. Slightly better base stats isn't enough to make me hold off. I am only using one HP mod and one Def mod on Viessa anyway. The rest of the mods I am using on her are to improve her skills.

Ult Viessa has 2 more Ultimate mods like every other Ultimate. Base versions can't use them. Also there is a lil stat difference between base and ultimate. If you plan to main her, then ultimate better.
Better farm Sharen first if you thinking to farm any Ultimate, because after the latest update outposts the best place to farm Ultimates. It is way more faster than dungeons/colosses

Ultimate Character will be able to use 2 Red Mod ( Skill mod) that normal one cant use.
If Red mod of normal character is good enough, you dont really need Ultimate.
If Red mod for Ulitmate is OP, then Ultimate is needed.

I can understand
Would be nice if there was a way to transfer from standard to ultimate version, but I guess that's not how it works :')

2 red mods? How? I have Ult Viessa, but I can't use 2 trans mods lol

And are either of them worth using over Cold Blooded?

I have no idea. I don't have any of her version. Till now i only crafted Ult bunny and Ult Lepic(+Sharen, Freyna, Kayle, Enzo). And both of them were worth it. Today got Ult Gley. Ult Viessa probably will be my next target

Every Ultimate is that underwhelming. You're mostly grind for them for the prestige and the option to use a few more transcendence mods, but beyond that the normal chars are still more than capable to handle the games content.

That however can also allow for 2 different builds, like using the normal char for grinding items in low level areas and the ultimate char to use in strong enemy scenarios. Like sometimes you simply don't need to waste the 16 slots of HP/DEF and could instead just use something to make you deal more damage in a bigger radius or whatever

If there is an Ult version of a char, there is no reason to use a normal version.
it takes just as much time to grind a normal version vs a hard.
The ults have superior stats as well as some dedicated mods- free stats is always good, even if its only like 10%

-only exception are for mastery level gains and or you like ascetics of base skin

As someone pointed out, a small base stat increase can be amplified better by mods and stat roll modifiers. It is literally the way you stack power in this game and become "overpowered" in a min-max sense however; the REAL reason to run ultimate over standard is the red mods. There are literally builds ult gley can use, that regular cannot.

Ultimate > Regular

Always, however that doesn't mean that you should lose sleep not having the ultimate it's just that the long term upgrade path is to replace then with ultimate variant.
