I all honesty it's often possible to see if a run is going to fail because people are under geared or take the full time frame if lucky because people don't know what they are doing (breaking armour the second it turns yellow instead of using it to delay an enraged state) etc.
I've quit runs when I see blatantly undergeared people dieing instantly or doing no damage, it's simply not worth my time to continue the runs.
If you did, you would've read about they die and quit...
There's a different pattern when it comes to people crashing or leaving instantly after a death.
I see no reason why I should be punished for leaving if my teammates are underprepared for the fight and are in need of a carry, where I would just end up wasting my time.
I never quit not even with a under geared team, but there is no solution too under-geared people other than gear level (level 100 full gear when going hard bosses).
Cause a minimum HP DEF or resistance removed build flexibility.
Just curious, how are you sure people are under geared? It shows nowhere...
While I understand your point of view, and even agree with it on most of the fights, there are fights where it makes sense to just quit once you realize the team is made up of idiots, those are the boss fights with team-based mechanics. An example would be seeing people pick up the flames on Frost Walker as soon as they drop, you can just go ahead and quit and re-queue at that point as they already caused the failure of the battle and all your doing is wasting time from that point forward before everyone gets one-shot.
Same things with molten fortress with single digit IQ players failing the circuit section, if they can't do it the first time they spawn, 99% chance they won't recover from that screw up, so go ahead and re-queue. Or Obstrructor if your teammates are too dumb to shoot the GIANT GLOWING ORBS SLOWLY MOVING OMINOUSLY TOWARDS THE BOSS.
Some teams contain people simply too stupid to recover from. And the game doesn't give you any time to try and explain it to them with the match starting instantly at load in.
Take the devourer, if 3 people run to 1 Crystal / container thing and I run to another, if I can drop mine before 3 drop theirs, there is a problem and I'm using well geared but not crazy guns (250-400k dps).
If they die very fast that is also pretty solid evidence if being undergeared.
Unless you are 1 shotting bosses, you should have atleast 1 maxed out def and hp mod on your build, if you don't, your build is bad and you are undergeared.
We both didn't die, every single time... but the other players kept rage quitting after their first or second death.
We eventually did the boss duo and killed it, we are fully geared and are able to solo
Your experience rarely happens though and it would help if the devs implemented at least a few requirements like having level 100 gear and weapons on hard mode collosses bosses.
The only solution for us was to solo and duo the bosses, which is kinda stupid and defeats the purpose of a online game.
Remember the people who rage quit are usually the ones under performing not the ones who are geared up.
I'm afraid with this statement we get geared people quitting because 1 player is under-performing leaving the other 2 geared people to deal with the upsclaed boss. But this has more to do with toxicity or 2 quick to judge.
