Season 1 Invasion is a completely solo activity
Yes, you have read this right. The entire mechanic of the season is solo content. You can not play with friends or be carried by a better player(bunny).

The seasonal activity is every day you can do 2 dungeons with invasion mechanics. You only have to do these 2 dungeons daily and that's it. Lets talk about the invasion here and give the developers our view on it!

Seems fine to me. They're not taking the rest of the game away, this is literally just adding more ways to play. I don't even know much about it, but if you say it's two solo missions per day, that seems like it still leaves pretty ample time to engage with the rest of the game - for those that decide to participate in seasonal activities at all.

I think I'm also fine with it but am unsure how the general playerbase will handle it. There are 10x more console players than steam users so I seem them as looking for more solo activities.

As a 90%+ solo player (of both Warframe, back when I played it, as well as TFD now) I very much welcome new solo content.

That way if I fail - it's always my fault and my fault alone. So I get better over time and overcome the difficulty, eventually. And I don't have to carry anyone who's underperforming, nor do I fail because someone else is underperforming.

Honestly, those forced matchmaking intercept bosses should also be slightly reworked to no longer require being matched with randoms who expect to get carried. All intercepts should be solo-viable. Feel free to disagree, but I won't change my mind.

BTW like someone already pointed out it's been Soloable. The only thing they will change is the rewards which I do hope is a big improvement compared to now.

I think its an absolutely awful idea and S1 will drive away more people than it brings in.

I see the devs and management for this game sat around a table, all pulling in different directions. And so far, Season 1 changes nothing.

I have no problem with any content they introduce, except I would really question whether what they are introducing is the right thing and it may just split the community even further.

I have absolutely no interest in solo content, and won't be playing it. In fact, the way the game is shaping up, I won't be here much past the launch of Season 1.

I am hoping that they move, at least part of the game, in the direction of team and multiplayer. At the moment it has many elements of team play but the balance is so ludicrous that it's not really possible.

We shall see!

Solo = create a solo farmer mentality for people who want a 2nd job.

Team work gameplay is the best kind of gameplay for pve multiplayer because then it actually becomes a multiplayer game and not a resource farm.

I think the 2 Invasion dungeons serve as a quick daily quest activity. From the info I've seen S1 looks more like a season 0 of some kind of early access game than a fully released title. Preview of Inversion Reinforcement abilities looked uninspiring at best. I hope they push the difficulty with next colossus and "Highest Difficulty" dungeons, current content is way too simple. I am not really a collector so farming new weapons/descendants just to tick a box isn't fun to me.

It doesn't drive me away because it is solo, I'm fine with that.

I have issues of 2 other aspects though.

One is that it seems all the rewards come with a debuff. We saw only 4 tooltips in a video, all were like that, I expect all of them similar, but I hope some will not.

Another aspect is the speedrun focus. While I'm playing UBunny as main, that doesn't mean that I want to rush everywhere.

So this content doesn't seem to be too interesting for me. Thankfully I have a lot of other things to do, I still need to open 6-8 characters and a lot of the yellow guns for example.

I disagree because there are hardly team games anymore with auto matchmaking, people don't care about people they will almost never see again. Some people also will never try to do good in the group setting and just bring the entire experience down for people.

So what you're saying is to make it another 2nd job game instead of aiming higher?
