Farming up the crafting mats for x200 Adjustment Control Axis
This is just FML, you need 20k mats each, from only lvl100 weapons. Farming drops in HM, they don't drop weapons, they drop reactors, if not reactors their dropping external components.

300k mob kills, hardly 15k of each obtained and have not spent even the 2k to make the x20 stacks.

Farming under lvl100 weapons, oh, that's easy, in normal more weapons drop then anything else. Have gotten easy over 50k each, never run out.

Ion Accelerator, lvl100 mats for those, easy over 300k of those. (smashing lvl100 reactors)
Energy Control Core, over 30k. (smashing lvl100 external components)

300k mob kills and you are struggling with common materials!?

I think you need to either diversify your activities or hit the brakes on trying to min-max every weapon there is (one maxed out Ultimate is usually enough to support you for a LONG time).

lvl100 weapons do NOT drop that often compared to below lvl100 weapons.

It's not about trying to min/ax, but to even produce one of those x200 stacks just once.

As I said, reactors effectively replace 4-6 weapons that normally drop in normal.

Where do you grind in HM?
Empukris Aug 23, 2024 @ 4:36am
Er... it does drop often more than I could craft. I dont have 30 million to spend on this axis. I need it but no way i have that many gold.

Ok nvm i understand now. You do farm gold a lot right? Then yes those dont really drop weapon a lot compared to reactor.

I'm comparing weapon drop rate in normal vs hard. In hard reactors and external components drop instead of weapons. Same time spent, same number of mobs killed. In normal you'd come out with say 6 rows of weapons, with 2 rows reactors and 1 row of components. But hard you'd get like 1 row of weapons, 6 rows of reactors and 2 rows of components...unless its a component field then still 1 row for weapons, 3 rows for reactors and 4 rows of components.

For those that have large stacks of materials from lvl100 weapons, how many materials from lvl100 reactors and components are you swimming, literally max stack of near 1mil?

My farm of choice is fortress outskirts. You get a bunch of gold, kuiper, mods, reactors, and weapons. When your inventory is full, just disassemble and keep going.

It is basically a one stop shop for everything that you need in the game, other than XP.

Still in HM, the distribution rate of weapons dropping vs reactors/components is just skimpy for weapons.

That stuff just keeps stacking for me by farming other stuff, so its a rather weird grind for me you are choosing. Have you crafted everything already?

To be fair, that is a good thing. You can't reroll reactors, so you need more drops to get what you want, and you can disassemble mods for kuiper, which is the resource you will burn through the most.

i cleaned out my mailbox and storage yesterday for this same thing.

My worst decision was to re-roll weapon stat (purple crit rate). I wanted gold one. I think I wasted 21 mil gold just to craft x200 7 times. Now I am totally 0 and barely can craft 20 pcs to one re-roll. Don't do my mistakes.

If you are focusing on an item remove some of the Bonus Drop accessory you have. I know it doesn't guarantee but it reduces the RNG, remember a trash mob can only drop a particular item: either gold, module, Kuiper, equipment or components/vault code breakers. You want to RNG the weapons.

Also, you can get the 10-hour, and 1-hour ones from Normal Mode. It is a different item but it should show in research also it is more time-consuming than the 20 - 200 ones.

Valby run for level 100 Weapon mats , first valby run you will get around 30 weapons, disassemble reactors, compnents.. jump back in the valby run . fill up inv, . get 30 more weapons, , disassemble reactors components again, run valby run again . fill up inv again. 30 more guns, now you have around 90 weapons .. disassemble weapons .. you get around 2000 towards the reg axis, and 2500 towards gold axis.. I say this so you can get a time management for yourself to see how long its taking you to get what you need. you also get a ton of gold/kuiper from the valby runs. you can also run a random dungeon on hard mode until you find one that will drop a lot of weapons for you for the weapon mats. i usually can find one that will drop between 24 and 30 weapons per run. but it lacks the gold, why i prefer the valby run .. or a combo of both.

I wish we could toggle what we pick up. When we're running Ambush Point and littering the field with loot. Say we only want weapons, not reactors or components you're character would only pick up weapons and leave the rest. (then just register the items you want, hold Shift to select all, then ctrl to disassemble, 2 buttons and done, back to the grind)

Or just send everything we touch with a full inv to the Lost & Found and give a bulk disassemble option in the L&F

Or just an auto disassemble option for everything we pick up but that's by far the most likely to happen.

Run some dungeons, weapons drop like a candies from there (~2500 mats per run).
