Why are so many randoms afraid of putting on resist mods for the boss fights? Cleared Frost Walker yesterday, so I tried to fight Molten Fortress tonight and so many people just died in 1-2 hits because it was obvious they just literally didn't have ANYTHING to protect themselves.

They either come in with low max HP, low DEF, or no resistance at all. Look, bro. I know you're on that grind and you're trying to be cool, but I need you to take a step back and think about the team, lol. I'm starting every fight at half HP with Gley because of my Annihilation set bonus and you're over here getting cooked multiple times, at full HP no less, while I'm still standing after taking multiple hits.

Solo queuing any HM bosses in this game is just pain, honestly. The problem I had with Frost Walker was most of the PUGs had just never played a MMO a day in their life or knew anything about mechanics, so they'd just leave the fire orbs laying all around and never pick them up, lol. I'm usually the guy focusing on weakpoints/parts, but I CAN pick them up if you need me to, it just feels kinda silly that I have to do it when we have like a Bunny or two on our team just ignoring them.

Anyway, just queue up with friends of you plan on running anything beyond Hanged Man. Hell, even Hanged Man is still gatekeeping some people, so yeah...

Resistances imo were more noticeable in normal but not that much in hard mode. + 2000 ele resist isn't much compared to getting more damage mods. You can always learn to simply not get hit. Meanwhile wasting an entire slot for a resist mod when you can polarize the slot for more damage seems wasteful for me.
Offense is the best defense I'd say. Especially when colossi fights are on a timer.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about all that. If I go in WITHOUT fire resistance against Molten Fortress, the damage is a bit different than when I go in WITH it, lol. I understand what you're TRYING to say here, but the facts kinda speak for themselves.

You WILL die faster without resistance, plain and simple. It happens with randoms all the time cause they just straight up refuse to equip poison resist, chill resist, fire resist, etc. for these fights and they drop like flies.

Believe it or not, its not necessarily the resist mods, but people not adding any bulk in their build (Max HP/DEF/Resist/Shield) and going for glass dps type builds they found on youtube (I'm looking at you Lepics and Bunnys). Some people literally don't bother using the right external component setup or use their private colossi build to try to get clears in public and it fails alot.

Exactly. Accidentally poisoning yourself or burning yourself from devourer and pyromaniac is the real killer.

The resist modules are unnecessary, except MAYBE when you started and you don't have enough HP pool given limited access to Kuiper and Gold. Also not familiar with intercepts.

Investing a crystalization for resist modules is a big no-no.

Just invest on 2 Max HP modules are more likely set, just need rolls with HP on accessory components.

Nothing wrong with that but you are probably part of meta and you have no idea how PUB looks like in dead bride to frost walker. They all die in 1 hit. It is fine if you are an expert that can evade most attack but this people dont. And they copy youtube build that told them defense and resistance or status immunity are useless. Let me make myself clear, those build are fine but not for everyone. So if anyone wondering why there is so many of those lepic that appear out of nowhere but somehow all die in 1 hit before able to do anything....

I don’t use resistant mods because I dodge bosses attacks, just study attack patterns. Usually I’m not the one crawling on the floor. Module slots can be more useful to other stuff if you can avoid as much elemental damage as possible.

You are better off equipping the -10% DMG taken mod. Which works for all DMG.

I pub most, but I am part of the premade group.

Let's be honest these mechanics get old, and it is already time-consuming to do the Dungeons. You add some... people who can't pilot their descendant correctly that will take longer just to open Amorphous.

Also, Resistance values are bad outside starting NORMAL mode. Since most can afford to get at least 2 increased HP modules and more likely can farm accessory components that has HP modules.

Btw, the health pickups are proportional to the amount of HP you have. So Resistance is probably in the low end unless the player still can't afford the HP modules at max. So leveraging outside Ajax who fully utilized DEFENSE it is much more beneficial just to stack HP.

I normally bring my Gley when I pub. Sometimes my MAX Ult Lepic against Frostwalker stagger, jump, and then die repeat and win. But I rarely do it now except for farming specific accessories and modules. I don't do dungeons either since I got all the descendants and it is NOT rewarding like most players make believe.

The devs can help by not requiring every resist to have a different polarity. I mean , no way are you going to handicap your solo play to budget four slots for different resist mods.
That aside, As a solo player I just run a maxed Yujin just for intercepts that is built around his 4. Most mechanics can be negated for the team with his Duty and Sacrifice mod and ability. Bring a decent modded gun and your no DPS slouch either. Most underrated Descendant in the game imo.
If your predominately an average solo player, don't follow the 10 second Devourer kill build videos as it will only hurt your later end game when you will need to group.

The Hangman is one of the Colosses which has some mechanics ... But ... Randies seem to not understand how it works.
I tried many-many times to explain them "what" to do and "when" to do it ... the pity was ... they hadn't Ingame-Voice-Chat enabled ... I was more talking to myself than anything else.

They drive me insane ... I promise I will soon throw my PC out of the window of the 5'th floor!
They use Key-Makros to confuse the game-engine like "Nah! I'm not AFK! Look ... LOOK! I'm doing something!" ... it's just annoying ... they do not want to play Defense-Waves, to level up their char as well as weapons ... and in some direction I can understand that, but they are disturbing everyone else!

You can't just jump back to Albion ... You are in a mission ... so the only option you got is ALT+F4 to close the game and restart it.^^

Oh and that's what I'm doing mostly, if a Bunny keeps running so fast, that I would miss much loot only because of her ability to rush through the mission ... IDGAF ALT+F4 and next restart, I play private, to enjoy my time in the game.^^

It can't be that difficult right?^^

Now I'm able to do every mission in hard as well alone, so for me - it's not a Multiplayer PVE Game anymore - I play mostly private sessions.
