Can we get the ball mechanic taken out already?
I am pretty sure everyone can agree the balls above the boss is a horrible way to make a boss "hard"

To be honest i prefer this mechanic over "now boss is immune everywhere but on some dingy thingy on his back or somewhere" like executor and hanged have for example. Especialy if said boss has ADHD too.

Getting real tired of the floaty orbs mechanic where it has to be killed in order, yet there is no visual cue on which orb needs to be targetted, and only takes one ally to target the wrong one to reset all of the orbs.

The "Kill orbs in order" is a bit rough since the boss can pivot and make you lose track of which orb is which, and you gotta rely on more teamwork and coordination than the average pug.
But I think it's not the worst, unless you have a teammate that refuses to listen.
Then it's the worst.

Because I discovered you can just number the orbs and type them in chat, so even the boss with 5 orbs, you just watch the boss as the orbs spawn in and quickly type 42513 or w/e sequence it requires, and assume the sequence is while the boss faces you.

The balls are better than timed invuln phases.
This way, We control how long the boss is invuln for.
Just get better at kicking bosses in the balls :D

Also, the ordered balls are easy to determine the order. Destroy any of the balls out of order and they all despawn.
They then respawn in the order they need to be destroyed.
Do this while standing in front of the boss with the boss facing you. The balls have fixed positions relative to the boss (In my experience with this type). Unlike other varieties where the balls are flying all over the place.
Watch the spawn sequence, shoot the pattern, easy.

There's no helping bads who cant figure it out though.
The game absolutely needs to do better at informing the player about the requirements though.
Personally, Different visuals per type would be great. Something as simple as different colors for each type and a codex that describes how to deal with them would be a start.
Hell, a bestiary would be nice. Especially for those damn Ascetics, i hate dealing with them XD

Worst part about the "kill orbs in order" is when you run Bunny and/or Thunder Cage (and people run these a lot). Simply because Bunny's zap-zap doesn't care for order and just damages/kills any of the orbs if you've got good enough damage on her. All while Thunder Cage, if properly modded, can outright kill multiple orbs with its AOE-on-kill explosion - so even if you shoot and destroy the right one first, the AOE will destroy the wrong one and boom, start all over.

And don't get me even started on public fights, where people don't even know about the "kill orbs in order" and just shoot whatever.

The orbs mechanic by itself is alright. The issue is the "in specific order" version of it.

Amen to that, so annoying.

i one hundred percent agree on this, i dont mind the immunity ones and just kill them. its the in order ones that are the biggest pain.

I don't see how that numbering makes any sense. The times that I had to deal with the ordering, I had to do it alone.

Yeah this floating magical balls and super tiny rotating shield devices mechanic are complete garbage...
