it is a big grind, but if you grind for 10 hours per day, then with some luck you get one ultimate character per day in hard mode. 2 if you are unlucky
Let me tell you that this game has almost no endgame content right now anyways.
and similar to warframe it is a grind game. if you did not have characters to grind then people would have already quit once they reach the endgame
if you are not into grinding, then i suggest dropping the game, there is nothing else to see here
So, the thing is, you're going to have to dump so much time into this game, to play it for "free" you can't do too much of anything else. And you still need to eat, and you still need an internet connection, and you still need a computer/console+TV, yous till have basic needs that must be met, so as a free to play player, you're going to have to stream the game, and get paid through streaming,
And you can't take breaks and come back later, because you'll fall behind, and you'll NEVER be able to catch back up again. Any life stuff that pops up is going to absolutely ruin you. Need to go to the hospital and you'll be out of commission for a couple months? Game over. Hook up withe a girl and it gets interesting for a while? Game over.
Which leads to the endgame, no, not the in-game endgame, but the end of this game's life cycle, when only the whales remain. Nobody can keep up the grueling schedule that is required of the free to play player.
You may as well just fully buy-in now, and accept you'll have to repeatedly pay to keep the power you just bought, and enjoy the game that way. OR, back away now, and don't come back. They will continuously release new and better stuff, it is what brings in the money after all. If you fall off for even moment, everything you had done up to that point becomes a waste.
When it comes to free to play, and being a free to play player, you are either in all the way to the end, hardcore devotion, OR you are food for those who are, and those who pay. And as a free to play player, you're always going to wonder what is next for you, because your entire existence in that economy is dependent on you being ALLOWED what you have.
So you're either all-in, or you are all-out, or you are food. Take your pick.
Buyer beware, or whatever.
Ultimate do not go up that high even in hard mode. The normal versions go up to 30-36% the highest you can get with the ultimate is I think 10% if you use a stabilizer.
However if your talking about first loading the game to having one it can take about 80 hours or so. Because you will need to go through the story and get set up to farm in hard mode before you really crack at them. so actual farm time could be less then 10-20 hours depending on luck etc. They just tripled the drop amount of the most annoying mats to farm for them so its even faster now
