Damage type of each enemy faction?
My question is in the title. The game sort of tells you this...once...when you enter some of the higher level zone on normal difficulty. I thought this would be in the journal somewhere but I don't see it there or online anywhere.

Press G (World map) then press F for info.
Everything is listed there, even reactor drops for each type of weapon and sub-type.

I think you are referring to the info page. If so, I don't any information on what damage type each faction puts out.

What damage type does the Order of Truth use? Immortality? Darkness?

You can see drop rates where modules are located etc but you can't see what resistance to use for each faction anywhere.

Hit Tab, your Ecive device shows what they're weak to.

Thank you. I am not looking for the enemy's weakness. I am looking for what damage the enemy will attempt to apply to me. Will they try to apply toxic, or electric for example when attacking me.

LOL, nobody is bothering to READ the question!

I don't think the damage type the enemies deal is based on their faction, it seems to be more on an individual enemy-type basis. As an example, the Legion of Darkness has Cryo Soldiers which deal cold damage and it also has Bombers which deal fire damage.

Offhand, I can think...
Darkness can do fire and chill damage. Fire spheres.
Immortal can do lightning and chill damage.
Truth can do toxic damage. Chill spheres.

Honestly, elemental resistances don't matter nearly as much as general defense right now (either elemental resistances are bugged and don't provide what they say, or they calculate the elemental damage in such a way that it doesn't have as large an impact as overall defense does)

Because I've not run a single elemental defense mod and the only time i've seen damage done to me fluctuate is when my defense goes up or down

The problem is that resistance is half as effective as defense but we tend to have 1/10th as much because who the hell is going out of their way to dedicate multiple mod and component slots to it when they need to be changed on a per area basis? Meanwhile def/hp and even shield are just generally useful all around.

Yes player defense needs a balance pass to make being more then a dodging meat shield worth something.

The only thing that might be wrong is Order Of Truth Elements Weakness in Echo Swamp is Chill you might switch it to Electric and weapon type is pierce you might switch it to burst as the game shows you when you use Ecive scan.
