They use >g0ddamn< in the story yet its censored to say. The word ban is simply egregious in application. The games country of origin doesn't have a robust freedom of speech passion like western countries so the filter is a blessing and an annoyance. In practical application it doesn't really matter because only 5 or so people actually use the text chat feature.

typical Asian game censoring happens in a lot of games. Mobil games are notorious for this.

Basically what it is. The developers didn't ban the words personally, but are using an automated service. However them not going through it and whitelisting the words is entirely on them. I doubt they'll fix it since it not a priority for them.
