Weapon min/maxing (Thunder Cage/Tamer/Eternal Willpower)
Like title says this is about min/max weapons most notably about the stats on it. I haven't tried the Eternal Willpower weapon but hear good things about it.

Myself I am wonder what the "ideal" stats would be for both TC and Tamer. Tamer is my boss weapon and while TC is my more general mobs weapon and weapon I switch to when Tamer runs out of bullets during boss fights untill I pick up more.

What do you all think about having something like xyx element atk on here and can that not be better to just use a module for that?

On tamer for example fire attack wont be ideal for all colossi so wouldn't it be best to avoid that on the weapon and instead use a module for the elemental weakness?

Wouldn't it be better overall to use:

Firearm atk
Firearm crit hit rate
Firearm bonus atk against colossi
weak point damage

Wouldn't this better over all for all colossi as long as you module in the element weakness specific to each boss?

Also how many "gold rolls" can you have?

Also if I build Tamer specifically for colossi bosses and keep TC more general for mobbing would something else be preferable on TC as rolls?

I know ideally in world where you have unlimited resources you could build one TC and one TAMER specific for EACH boss and hardcore min/max that way but for my purposes whe I say min/max I mean for colossi bosses in general and not specific to one.

I'll tell you what I'm doing on Thunder Cage and I'm building it actually with my Warframe experience in mind so this might be right or wrong.

Fully evolve it to have the explosion occur 100% of the time at 5m range, you'll love it.
Max ranked Firearm ATK, Weakpoint DMG, elemental bullet augment of choice first without energy expansion.
I rolled the stats to get gold FirearmATK, Crit Hit rate, Crit Damage and Toxin ATK.

Today I gave it energy expansion and it's first socket type, slotting in the regular Crit hit rate and Crit damage mods, slowly fully ranking them. And the final two mods will either be the purple Crit hit rate + weakpoint damage/ Crit damage + weakpoint damage, or I'll do a reload speed + fire rate mod combo, and an ammo conversion module. Any of them will do, I pick the type that I'm not using myself (So Special bullet conversion in my case, since I'm using General, High-power and Impact ammo weapons).

This will be a nice all-rounder for mobs. I'll build Tamer similarly for bossing actually unless I find out it has a quirk I need to focus on.

EDIT: Actually yeah, I'll be using less normal mods and I'll double down on the weakpoint damage multipliers as much as possible on all mods (so I'll specifically seek out those double-stat modules where one is weakpoint damage). Turns out bosses still take augmented damage in those areas that had armor on them and it's very important in Hard Mode, completely forgot about that.

I have been trying to get the last stat golden on my TC bit it been a bit of a 1 step forwards and two back with that so still working on that. I am kind of out of mats for that seeing as I need to build like 200 at a time.

That said I got sharen cooking and got my last piece for ult bunny which is cooking too so will be cooking ult bunny later tonight.

I think the TC should work well for both sharen and ult bunny, will have to find some infiltration builds for sharen and boss killer builds for ult bunny.

Dayum another stack of 200 fine adjustment control axis and still didnt get the frigging last stat I want on the TC......

if you want ot be picky about it recoil doesnt do anything. cant remember but cant u roll for crit damage? or is crit/crit damage the same category

Recoil does in fact do something, it reduces the recoil of the weapon per-shot. It's just that none of the guns in the game have enough recoil to make the mod EVER worth using. The gun with the most recoil currently is Enduring Legacy, and is the only weapon where using the -45% recoil module is visibly noticeable. But it's very easy to manage even without it.
