Encrypted Vaults need a total re-design

Encrypted vaults contain the necessary crafting items for the endgame character and weapon upgrades. These vaults require people to load into world areas and use their scanner to find them and use the keys dropped by enemies to unlock them through a simple rhythm type mini-game.

Problem is the simplified version sounds pretty good, but that is far from the truth.

Enzo is pretty much mandatory to unlock the highest tier vaults, and if you're going to use him for the highest tiers, might as well main him for all vault hunting. This is because he has an ability that significantly simplifies the mini games by slowing down the speed of the pointer spinning around the circle, and also reduces the amount to rings to unlock the vault, overall significantly speeding up the vault hunting process.

He also needs to have his blueprints farmed and as is customary of NEXON the drop rates pretty normal are one thing but the actual drop in-game are abysmal. I've also heard that they lost their lawsuit in regards to modifying in-game drop rates in another (or more) of their games, so keep that in mind

On a side note; the highest tier vaults also contain the most kuiper (used to upgrade mods) so this puts an heavier emphasis on the use of Enzo.

If you miss the timing the of matching to spinning pointer in the green area of the ring, the total time you have to open the vault reduces, ok that's fine. But the problem arises when you fail to open the vault; you straight up loose the key, why?

Lastly, running around areas looking for vaults is annoying and a massive waste of time because its bases on the direction you look and a sound queue that play when looking in the right direction. Most of the time will be spent trying to narrow down the area and look for the hidden vault, because most of the time they're hidden.

It's just plain bad game design meant to be a time sink, and aggravate players to the point of spending money to buy outright the endgame material for real world money to skip the awful slog.

I have opened the ultra's without him but dunno if the vault changes in hard mode. I haven't tried yet but thankfully I have unlocked him after hearing what he did for vaults. Haven't used him yet to do vaults as I am saving up the analyzers but it isn't impossible. If you make one mistake though you are probably going to fail. Its not a big deal. Every character has a mechanic in the open world that works like Sharen. Thats pretty cool to be honest.

Not a big deal? WIth all due to respect.... are you on some serious drugs or something that make you dont care and super precise and good with your mouse or something?

Because it surely is a big deal farming for hours to get absolutely nothing.

Yes hard mode makes them more difficult, but they also give better rewards. You FLAT OUT can't do the hardest one in hard mode. The game even tells you this with a "Enzo required" tag on them. But lets you try anyway if your dumb enough to ignore it.

Skill issue, never had any problems with any tier of vault minigame, and I don't have enzo either. Vaults also appear in the same 3-4 locations in each zone so once you know them you're way faster in finding them by just checking these specific locations.

Some people are using controller exploit (even when they say they dont), the exploit is well that you can press both buttons at same time so you never fail unless you hit outside marker which is quite hard to do, also you do not need to see which button you have to press which is actually the harder part of it when you hit a marker at 2o’clock and get the next at 3o’clock

As a side note, my starter hero was Enzo. I had no idea what those vaults were when I got him, I just wanted a support and he fit the role.
Now I'm quite pleased to see the choice was accidentally very smart.

Hunting vaults is kinda easy if you farm a specific region, cuz vaults always spawn on specific locations. After 2-3 rounds, you just look into a direction, ping, and you will already know which place the vault spawned this time.

I do not know how much cryptonite vaults give, but after a short farm as Enzo (around 30-45 minutes with 5 ultra vaults included), from 30K I ended up with 220K. So, it is quite nice.
Could be even faster the next time as now I know where vaults spawn in the region I was farming.

But it is indeed disgusting that keys need to be farmed and they break upon a fail for players without an Enzo.
But Enzo also takes his own backfire. All his skill-cards only can be obtained from vaults.
Aka, its double gacha.. One to get the keys randomly... And then to get the card randomly from the vault..

I did check this couple days ago, and if I recall I didn't lose keys on a fail, without enzo. Are you sure you do lose them? Of course I also have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of keys, there is that farming spot in sterile lands where you get a ton in a short amount of time, and there are always people farming which makes it even faster when you team up.

Because Enzo's vault advantage is actually written into the skill description. But Sharen's stealth does not mention that it can be used for easier outpost hacking...

Very true, but thats no excuse to make the game artificially very long to grind and the drop rates lower than they should be, especially with the Patented NEXON RNG mechanic, which theyre getting sued over and i can guarantee that no player of the games in question in the lawsuits are every going to see back their money or time invested in be given back to them. We dont know yet if this Patented NEXON RNG mechanic is some way shape or form in this game

Well.. in the EU that would be illegal. I know that nexon doesnt give a ♥♥♥♥ about laws since the fines they have to pay is just a small drop in the wide and deep ocean of the whale money but the fact remains that it's illegal to use. They can patent whatever they want.. doesnt mean they would use it.

And dayum.. I really really hate that I kinda defend nexon now.. I used to hate nexon for what they did to vindictus >.< God dayum.

I don't realy see the issue. You can do the max level vaults without Enzo too, I failed 2 and finished 3 although I just started so Im naturally not very good at the minigame yet. Once I get Enzo I probably wont fail.

Other than that it takes like 10-15 minutes to get enough ressources. There are some spots where you can always find a vault if you travel there first so you get 3 vaults for free everytime you decide to farm them.
