OFFICIAL PATCH NOTES:
We are well aware that as many Descendants begin farming in earnest, various discussions are taking place regarding drop rates. There is no variable drop rate system in The First Descendant. We are using the fixed rates displayed in the game. The Dev Team has reviewed the acquisition rates across all servers and confirmed that they are dropping according to the rates displayed. We are currently working on various measures to ensure the community can trust the dev team such as disclosing item drop amounts for each content. And we also prepare ways to improve the farming experience. The First Descendant will continue to communicate transparently and honestly.

For one, you missed something since your OP. You typo'd the name of the Publisher and I was trolling you on that. I have already read the many articles FROM THEIR PAST that have nothing to do with TFD. The only things popping up with those and TFD in the same article is clickbait media bringing up the past, false flag articles and people just stirring up the pot like yourself.

The difference is, NEXON has not continuously pulled the stunt like Electronic Arts (EA) has been doing for well over a decade. Just because they have a patent on something, doesnt mean its in use. Like Rogue said, its to have a contingency plan so they have a record of it and that if anyone else comes up with it they can shut them down legally.

So as far as the rest of this conversation goes. Blocked and Reported.
I can tell you there's at least diminishing returns on running the same Outpost over and over again. I've been farming Specialized Biometal for Ultimate Bunny's Stabilizer and the first several runs had guaranteed drops. But eventually, I reached the point where it was dropping only 2 per completion and then was no longer 100%, but rather closer to 30%.

20% chance is not per individual player, its a global percentage for all players within the game, meaning that if 100,000 players trying to get the 4th piece, only 20,000 will eventually get it.

Really tired of users like you who want handouts with this "I ran the dungeon 5 times! I shouldve gotten it because it says 20%". Its not based on the individual user, but based on the entire community of players within the game.

yeah, that's not how statistics work, in the old games you mentioned, it was all per player or per kill, meaning that 20% drop rate with 20 kills ups the drop to 98.847%, the math 1 - ( ( 1 - .20 ) ^ 20 ) at 5 sure its only 67 percent, AND mission rewards in tfd are per PLAYER, but still either give numbers of tests or what the math should be before anyone should take you seriously

What the guy says is not true
The amount of BS people delude themselves into thinking is happening to cope with rng is hilarious.
I wouldn't doubt they have something sketchy going on, on Sunday i played for a long period of time, I tried for a 20% drop rate item, it took me doing the event 50 times before i got it, which comes out to about 2% drop rate. I received the 1.5% and the 2% drop rate item from the event multiple times before getting the 20% drop rate item. I could see doing the event like 10-20 times, but at 50 i either had really bad RNG or something is messing with the drop rates.

exactly what is happening with me and the freyna cells. supposed 20% droprate but got 0 while getting multiple rare and uptra rare upgrade mods from that mission

It's no BS, Korean FTC actually fined them earlier this year for this exact reason but in a different game. It is not implemented in this game that I can tell, I've had plenty of the low 3-5% drops and I'm usually active just poster trying to scare monger.
not true iv had half a dozen of the sub 3% items and im yet to get 1 20% drop from the same mission having run it back to back 20 times sofar and about to try continue again today

Where's the proof that anything is implemented? Having a patent doesn't mean, that you're forced to use it. Most patents are just registered without ever being implemented as described. They're also often explained in a very general manner, so that you cover as much possibilities as possible, but often only very few parts are actually being considered in the end.

And shouldn't be that hard to do some very basic information gathering. I'm already doing it and it looks like it gets close to 20 %, but obviously it takes quite some time to do it alone, when all those people with doubts are rather interested in throwing accusitions around and whining in forums than actually doing some proper basic research (and no, it doesn't take hours to do so, but can be as easy as just writing something in an excel table for 3 seconds everytime you get a drop or not)

i invite you to check maplestory lawsuit where this behavior is clearly quoted. but sure you can delude yourself into thinking now they are a nice company totally not in for the quick money.
I've just unlocked my sixth descendant and close to unlocking my seventh. While the company could be manipulating things behind the scenes, I personally don't see it. All I see is amusing RNG. For example, I've had multiple 2% transcendent drops before netting my much easier to obtain 20% drop. That's both insanely lucky and hilariously unfortunate.

just got Valby's 3% from the 3rd titan boss drop on the 4th try.
A couple days ago it took her roughly 17 tries to get her catalyst.
I got a couple of Ultimate Bunny's items within a 5-10 tries each.
I do not see an issue with the RNG, its working at a global level, not personal.
