If it's just your keyboard, it might be your keyboard. If both keyboard and mouse die, then it's more likely to be your motherboard (if you also have your mouse connected to your system and not daisy chained through the keyboard as well).
i think this is the cause of my issues over the last two days. it only sstarted yesterday.
my usb hub has my mouse/keyboard/sound/wireless all on it.... and while in game they would all randomly start acting up.l
when i launch the game it will make my wireless connection drop for a while.
when when i was fighting an operation for a long time all of a sudden my wireless keyboard (logitech G915) would stop working and the wireless (lightspeed) would blink and sometimes the keyboard will just reboot. i actually went to best buy, got myself a new wireless adapter and a new mouse trying to fix the issue.
same, 3 keyboards and 3 mice. in addition two wireless adapters.
i also tried off my HUB hub and started using the HUB jacks on the back of my tower, still same issue.
Same here as well. I've tried different keyboards both wired and wireless with no change they both will stop responding mid game and the only resolution is to unplug and plug back in the usb cable or usb dongle and then it'll work for a little while. I've also tried it in usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 ports, but sadly that didn't help either. I'm thinking of trying to use bluetooth mode for my keyboard but I'm worried that it will still happen and the only resolution would be to reboot my computer.
I have a logitech g602. It would switch to the default profile after about a minute in game and never switch back while I had it connected to my hub. Connecting it directly to the PC made it slightly better - it will keep cycling between the default and game profile in that case. But still not playable like that.
I can also tell my keyboard keeps losing connection, because I will continue running in one direction or another for less than a second. It is very noticeable. And then sometimes it gets stuck like that, and I cannot control anything, I just keep running until I hit a wall.
Usually disconnecting the keyboard fixes it.
Between these issues I lose control in one way or another multiple times per minute, only for a brief time.
I will probably play other things, I don't have time or desire to figure out why this game and this game only has such issues with my hardware
There's your problem, if at all possible you want to avoid mouse and keyboard going through a hub. Note that some of the ports on the back of motherboards are also (built-in) hubs. Which is why typically the topmost ports on the back are marked as mouse, keyboard and bios/uefi flashing port. Cause the hubs can sometimes drop connections.
