So Nexon 9 million dollar lawsuit for rigged drop rates in maple story

sadly I finished all of hard modes collosi all before i was able to finish the divine punishment quest and after countless amorphis materials opened at a 38% chance for the items I needed I 100% feel like the drop rates are rigged in this game as well.

This. I've been farming Venom Synthesis. It has a 1% drop rate in the Operation, but can also drop from mission mobs. 2 days. I've gotten a lot of other items that were low drop rates, just not the one I'm looking for. The rates seem fine, it's my own expectations that are the real issue.

Except it a lot of people who have issues getting this one 20% drop. The 1% drops are understandable but the part that is 20% is somehow more rare than other stuff.

I had a lot of issues with this drop.

Seeing how Nexon has already used the random RNG in another game and people here only the same part that a lot of people have a problem with?

All you need to do to know they're doing it again is look at the Reyna collection quest, or whatever her name is; the one you get the quest to collect the parts for after doing the same thing for Bunny. If you look at the drop rates for the 3 quests, they each say the drop rate is 20%. A couple of randoms and myself ran the same mission 34 times for the 1st piece without success before we quit. Today, I ran it another 18 times before I got irritated and moved on with the story. After running a few errands, came home and ran it another 14 times before I FINALLY got it. The random I was running it with today was already doing the mission when I got there, and we did those 14 together. When it finally dropped, he said it was his 29th run.

But yeah... It's 20%. -wink wink-

If the drop rates are rigged, they're rigged in our favour. I can't complain about my luck in this game at all.

And for every player with your luck there is someone that got it in one or two runs. The people that got in one or two runs don't come to the forums to complain about the drop rates so you don't hear about them as much. Your anecdotal evidence is not conclusive to the whole...

It's RNG, I got the 3 pieces for Freyna in 15 runs in total.
