So Nexon 9 million dollar lawsuit for rigged drop rates in maple story

sadly I finished all of hard modes collosi all before i was able to finish the divine punishment quest and after countless amorphis materials opened at a 38% chance for the items I needed I 100% feel like the drop rates are rigged in this game as well.

both boss lists normal and hard done (ignore the fps/temp counter steam catches that in my screenshots)

It would take years to collect the evidence. And if they are open the game for about 2-3 years and the players find out later. The players cannot do anything because the server has already shut down.

AFAIK, Nexon has a habit of opening the game only for a few years and shutting it down. In fact, I won't be putting my money on any Nexon game that doesn't last for at least 3 years at this point.

what games have they shut down? ive been hearing that alot and the only games i can find were early access ones, id also like to add that they ALREADY been caught so players are more wise and will test the drops the longer the game is out

It is mostly in my region (SEA) but I'll try to remember the games.

- Mabinogi (the mobile game)
- Maplestory (the one Nexon open themself)
- Vindictus/Mabinogi Heroes (also, the one Nexon open themself)

TBH, I have high hopes for this game. Because it uses the same system as Warframe, a kind of successful looter-shooter game. And a gameplay combat style of Destiny 2, a once successful game. It basically a mixture of success. I think the only way they scraw up is to be greedy.

TBH, I have high hopes for this game. Because it uses the same system as Warframe, a kind of successful looter-shooter game. And a gameplay combat style of Destiny 2, a once successful game. It basically a mixture of success. I think the only way they scraw up is to be greedy.

yup, the biggest issues i see is people saying things are hard to get but once they add trading those people can just trade the items they want as well as make some coins trading themselves

I am 90% sure the game drop rates are indeed rigged. I'd need another month of sample sizes to be 100% sure it's rigged though.

yeah i mean ive done so many runs today to get a item with a drop rate supposedly of 38% but after about 3 hours I haven't gotten it with missions running about 10 minutes

you don't understand man, according to DJ dekard cain in another thread. this is probability and statistics man so it's completely random man! it all comes down to your luck stats!

with that being said with if the game is being truthful with you and saying the drop rate is 38% then after 3 runs you should get 1 of that desired drop, maybe if your unlucky 4,5, or 6 runs before you finally see it drop... but doing it for 3 hours that's probably dozens of runs which is ridiculous

I keep hearing about how slow fights can get with spawn timers and dynamic scaling with players making it less worth it to play with others.

After hearing it's a Nexon game and that lawsuit when I first heard of it with the details. I knew droprate in Maplestory was crap, but I didn't think it was rigged that badly. I cannot trust Nexon or any game they touch.

again read the other comment, just because they can doesn't mean they want to at the end of the day the bottom dollar is be all end all for the investors and getting sued over and over for more money and more money will risk shares, this is far deeper then "well they have X amount of money so they dont care"

taking into account my experience with gacha mechanics in actual gacha games and that timesink that is BDO, the drop rates in this game seem about right to what is displayed

Ive gotten lucky and gotten several 1% chance drop items from mission monsters, and ive been unlucky and not gotten other 1% chance drop items

my friend and I farmed sharon together, I got her in half a day, he took almost 3
