So Nexon 9 million dollar lawsuit for rigged drop rates in maple story

sadly I finished all of hard modes collosi all before i was able to finish the divine punishment quest and after countless amorphis materials opened at a 38% chance for the items I needed I 100% feel like the drop rates are rigged in this game as well.

all the hard mode ones eh? so you were part of one of the 10 or 20 teams that did the last one? and if theyer getting sued dont you think they would you know stop what theyer doing so they dont get sued again?

Except that they made far far more than 9 million by doing it, they dont care..

They literally rigged the cubes in maplestory for TEN YEARS and made 550 BILLION WON... it was found out, and they basically didn't even deny it. WHY DO YOU ASK? Because they did the SAME THING in Sudden Attack 2. So this would make the THIRD scam of theirs... and from seeing how the game is playing out, it checks out. It feels like 4 people stole parts of games and used the UE5 editor and made a game.

It's 'fun' but I don't think it'll last...

thats not how that works. they KEEP getting sued if they keep using it. people dont realise that just because a company can afford to lose x amount of dollers doesnt mean they want to

I am 90% sure the game drop rates are indeed rigged. I'd need another month of sample sizes to be 100% sure it's rigged though.

also i dont know about the lawsuit, but if they made 550billon dollars which i really dont see them doing. the lawsuits wouldnt be for 9 mill

EDIT: 550 mill won is 440 mill dollars, again they wouldnt want to keep getting sued since the amount of money will go up with every case

It's Won (Korean currency), not Dollar.

But anyway, I did think they'd do it again. AFAIK, they do it twice in Maplestory. Although not the same thing, they rigged the system to give the player a disadvantage and called it bad luck or something.

itd be dumb for them to, the settlement would just increase every time they did it and people would spend less on their games the more they heard about its such a short term boost in money just to have it all come crashing down.

They already did it on their mobile games. AxE and V4 both had p2w wall. The high end item drops were rigged.

im not gonna lie, apart from trying to get some world drop mods, i havent had problems with the drops its not worse or better then your avg looter.
