I agree. I've been farming Amorphous Material 14 for the last 2 days and gotten maybe 5. It's crap.

i farm since 2 1/2 days blair (code 20% drop chance) i become every time the same ♥♥♥♥ and red mod with 2.5% drop chance 11 times...... same with energy activator.... drop rates are bugy or a big lie

I got it without trying its random with a percentage chance roll a D100 if its a 20% you need a 20 or lower (until it hits say 6% for some stuff, but if it goes to low or you will get something else if its above that you will get something else. I have been trying to get one part for Velby for a day and a half no luck but got some great weapons by only doing the same mission 1-3 times.

Yeah its totally messed up. Took me over 35 attempts to get an item which has 20% drop chance. NO WAY its 20%. More like 2%.
Klaptrap Jul 8, 2024 @ 2:04pm
20% its the Tip their mother charges, that ♥♥♥♥♥.

No it's no lie, it's not 20% equals 1 out of 5. It's just that you don't understand the rate, that's all.

It's like a dice.
6 faces, so basically you have 1 out of 6 chance to get a six. So you could think that you have 16.667% chance to have your six (100% divided by 6), and you only have to roll it 6 times to garantee a 6.
Yet you can roll it a hundred times and never got the six.

It's exaclty the same here. You guys just don't understand rates.

With a 20% drop rate for the items you actually have 89.26% of chance to have it within 10 runs. So if you're unlucky you'd have to make even more runs.

You can see that here : https://dropchance.app/#dc:20;c1:10;c2:50;c3:100;r1:50;r2:90;r3:99

For an item that have 2% drop rate, you have almost 87% chance to drop the item... for 100 runs ! So if you're really unlucky... Garanteed drop at 229 runs ;)

maybe so but it still sucks lol

its all probability. 25% drop rate doesn't mean that you'll get the item after 4 reward cycles. It means that you have a 1 in 4 chance of getting the item EVERY reward cycle. The reward drop rate doesn't change just because you played it repeatedly.

But to be fair, the RNG for this game is absolutely awful. There are some items with a 2% drop rate. That is.... ridiculous and horrible game design. Having a 2/100 chance of getting an item from a mission, an item you MUST have to build certain things? Not worth your time as a player, frankly. We know why they do this, of course. It's to get you so frustrated that you spend real money to skip the grind.

This is the gameplay loop of any free to play game. Make all cosmetic items microtransactions, and make everything else extremely hard to get unless you buy the microtransactions.

Its a very predatory monetization system, and ethically it's pretty scummy. I'm at the point where I'm getting very tired of the extreme grind, and the extremely high prices of the in-game currency makes circumventing the grind unattainable.

I was drawn to this game for the same reason as everyone else- the curvy ladies (which sadly no longer exist in Western games at all, or many Eastern games for that matter). But physically desirable female characters is not enough to keep me playing, when the gameplay itself isn't fun.

I agree, but it's how it is in these games. And if it suits you not, you can always stop playing, it's free its not like you have to make the game profitable, right ? :D
