The First Descendant crashing on startup.

I have never played this game, first impression it doesn't run. Can't find any solutions. Please help, thank you. specs are good i9 4070

Possibly. I can't play Ghost's of Tsushima at all either. But Diablo 4, CoD, Fortnite, Helldivers all run flawlessly and rarely if ever crash!

I know the Ghost's crossover developers mentioned something about power, but that was only default from Windows "Power Plans"

I get a similar in my error logs when attempting to run Fortnite. Do you also have problems running Fortnite? I have not found an answer for the Passthrough not supported issue.

You need to allow EAC (easy anti cheat) through your firewall. I was able to play easily on my pc but on my laptop firewall keeps blocking it, so after allowing it through, it worked fine.

i recently got this error playing the first descendant .......

so managed to fix this by following this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7J_wPCampdU

basically error is caused by a failed windows update that will not install due to the windows recovery partition not being large enough for the update.

before pressing enter go to your options and turn ray tracing off that way, worked for me after 4 crashes i did this .

I had been crashing on shader startup for pc and found a fix that worked for me.
Check graphics drivers for updates and pc for an update.

I have an AMD 6700XT and my game constantly is crashing at 44%. This has been going on now for at least 2 to 3 days. Is there not a fixed coming for this or how can I fix this me self. I really like playing the game but if I cant get in its not worth to keep trying to play.

I had the same issue, but I managed to solve it. It turned out that the problem was caused by Frame Generation. Once I disabled it, everything worked perfectly.
