The First Descendant crashing on startup.

I have never played this game, first impression it doesn't run. Can't find any solutions. Please help, thank you. specs are good i9 4070

This resolved the issue for me of not getting past the black screen. Just running the pair of .bat files in the EAC folder did it.

Granted, the game now crashes after "The First Descendant" screen. But, progress!

Maby some who have Problem's try to Reinstall game. 20%of GPU will drop. On ultra option's. Only retrasyng anable and Bloor and bloom.

why i get error , [0714/151541.457:ERROR:gpu_init.cc(426)] Passthrough is not supported, GL is disabled, if they write my gpu meet requirments settings wtf

So i had this issue hit play and the game just froze my rig. Went through all the troubleshooting possible and found out when trying to play 7 days to die with easy anti cheat on it did he same issue. Turns out it was due to me using a 3rd part antivirus and firewall "Norton 360" easy anti cheat just froze my pc. As soon as i deleted norton and went back to default windows defender and firewall it launched with no issue.

I have a clean install of windows and as soon as I click the icon to play TFD, it shows the loading scren and "initalizing"... "loading" then just disappears.

I have been completely unable to play this game. I get through the loading screens, and to the main menu. Once I hit enter it crashes to desktop.

OFC it didn't work. Problem is with PC that u are using. It is fundamentally broken, possibly beyond repair. My estimate is low quality intel cpu, maybe unstable overclock.

Standard power settings are exactly the problem with the intel i9 13k and 14k series. This will probably help you.
