The First Descendant crashing on startup.

I have never played this game, first impression it doesn't run. Can't find any solutions. Please help, thank you. specs are good i9 4070

I am having a similar issue. It crashes immediately when I hit enter after it gets done "connecting". I have a Ryzen 9 5900x cpu, radeon 7900xtx gpu, and 64gb of ram. I don't think it is an issue with my specs.

Try disabling Raytracing in file "GameUserSettings.ini" . It solved my problem on a 4080.

I know it sounds like i may be trolling but i was having a problem of it not starting the game at all, so i would just get a black screen on startup. anyways long story short i uninstalled the EasyAntiCheat with its uninstaller then reinstalled it with it's installer and that sorted it, not sure why but it did, hope it helps you.

I've tried the EAC uninstall and reinstall, didn't work but thanks for suggesting Mango.

Kush we can't see past "C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\Local\M1\Saved/" so are unable to edit anything as there are no folders/files until it can launch correctly and created them.

For what it's worth I've read about it being related to the patch 2 days ago and anyone who hadn't launched the game prior to that has the chance of this problem. I did play the game but have been having a few issues with PC so did a clean install of everything today as last resort and now I am having this black screen when loading and never progressing.

I'm guessing a patch sometime to fix it once they have worked out what is causing it.

My bad, I thought you were able to launch the game once... :/ So, yes, have to wait hotfix or patch ...

Same issue here. Works on my laptop with a 4070 but installed on desktop with 2080 super and wont get passed the first screen where it says "The First Descendant".

Same here! crash after loading the lobby in albion or during the loading screen.
