What are you even talking about? Im in hard mode now. Im doing late dungeons and absolutely nothing have changed. Last dungeon I was doing it was me and 2 bunnies and I was just watching everything melting around me. They didnt even used their guns, only running around and jumping and melting everything. One of them just used Thunder Cage on the last boss. And dont even start with this: "uh oh, bunny need catalysts in late game". Everyone need it in late game. Everyone need to put some effort in a late game to survive but brain dead bunnies still melting everything. Hard mode gamepley in this game looks like this: bunnies running around destroying everything in seconds while everyone around cannot do absolutely nothing. Before you point your gun on enemy and pull trigger its already dead because some bunny was running 15 meters away. Your only job is to resurrect some brain dead bunny from time to time. This is hard mode in The First Descendant.
Enemies that can skill cancel (not just skill block), and enemies that reflect skill damage would be a good start
But the true issue with Bunny is that she ruins the fun for the rest of the team. One frame/character should not do that to the rest of the roster.
I've encountered the same problem as the OP to be honest. ran a Kingston Defence with 2 Bunnies on the team and they camped the landing zone. The other guy and I just sat there not being able to do anything because all the mobs would have died even before we finished firing a burst. My biggest contribution to the whole boring mess was just shooting the Ember Maw that spawn right in front of the storage tanks. The whole time, I was thinking "What the hell am I doing here for? Those 2 can just finish the whole thing by themselves!".
When something happens such that you can't even play the game if you want to, IMO that is a very big problem. No idea how they are going to balance it without nerfing her into the ground, Bunny is a one trick pony, take away that trick and she's pretty much useless, but killing everything and leaving nothing behind for others to do simply cannot be good in the long term.
in 160 hours of bunny play I have not encountered a single enemy that cancels active skills, only ones that block you from activating your skills. And ones that cause little projectiles to shoot out of enemies when you hit them but not one that reflects your skill damage
the first one does nothing to bunny as her lightning emission up time is 30 seconds, so blocking my ability to activate the skill does nothing to her and the damage reflection enemy does so little damage its not a problem because they die before getting more than 2 bursts out
There are alot of specials that have abilities yes, but none that stop bunny. Other than the ones I said above you have the ones that slow you down, but not enough to hurt bunny and the shielders/healers but bunny's AOE is so large you just hit everyone including the special
Finally you have the weakpoint only enemies but they are hit by lightning emission regardless
You realize this is a PvE Game where people calling for nerves got serious issues with their manly parts, sitting in their mom's basement?
Jokes aside, who the F cares about balance as long as all descendants are viable on doing content.
im a ajax main - but i agree, she takes alot of investment to be viable end game.
im fine with bunnies tbh - it is a pve game.
why is it that people always scream " Nerf"
why not just buff the other descendants? more fun that way no?
The game could really use some counter-measures (especially mid-late game) against specific Descendants. I wouldn't mind seeing mobs with elemental immunity and maybe some with Elemental Reflection where damages of a certain element that hits this enemy reflects back to the Descendant.
With such a kind of enemy who would have something like lightning immunity or even reflection would put Bunny in a pinch that would requires assistance from a different elemental-oriented Descendants.
At the moment, if even if an enemy is clearly pointing toward an element, using that supposedly heavy-resisted element still punch through its face like a truck most of the time (there are exceptions, but they are super rare/specific). It's as if the devs decided last minute to remove the risks of having build/descendants by making heavily resistant enemies merely "an inconvenience" instead of an actual challenge.
