I agree until you get to hard mode. The game hard locks power growth behind super long grinds OR $20+.

Not a sentiment you will have when you have to start farming Recon infiltration and encrypted vaults. And that's over half of endgame.

Wait until you realize descendant capacity for module slots is capped unless you pay for expanding them. Or that the amount of overall descendants you can have is capped to 10, afterwards you have to pay up. Which will fill up fast given nexon announced to release new ones each season or so.

Free to try, pay to keep sanity, pay to keep winning.

This game is still pay 2 win. Paying for convenience (extra inventory slots), getting items instantly as opposed to farming for days, paying for time-gated researches are all pay 2 win.

module capacity items are getting farmed in game for free. Also you get a couple for free in the end of MSQ.
The only thing you can not farm is descendants slots. But getting 10 characters as F2P player will take you well above 100+ hours. A good amount of gaming time for $0 if you ask me

in a way the whole looter shooter rpg bubble is aimed at grind and constant grind- so adding payable things to progress faster and avoid the grind is normal for a free to play game.
now its all about how much they charge and for what- looking at the shop and bp ect, its not bad bad however still pricey for what you get.

Funny how the cap is mysteriously kept at about half the initial 19 characters. And that you cannot remove owned descendants from your roster at all.

So yeah, not even close to enough.

Warframe had to pay to unlock numerous types of slots too.

"Oh but you could just trade to get that paid currency"
Fair in your eyes, but someone still had to pay for it.

Also they released new weapons, frames, ships, and pets and w/e else I missed the same way you described it with TFD so it's not exactly a Nexon only thing.

I like how ppl get angry about the microtransaction and how they need to buy energy activators and catalysts for the descendants to have more slots. I played 1,5k hours of warframe and that game is exactly the same just different pricing. You can buy basically everything in the game. So ppl getting angry about these is pointless. Companies have to make money off the game somehow.

The difference is that a catalyst in Warframe is 20 platinum which is $5 for 75 platinum. A catalyst in this game is 1200 Catalyst which is $50 for 2750 Caliber.

There's also another difference in that if you buy a Descendant in this game, it comes completely bare with no catalyst. In Warframe your character comes with a catalyst in it.

The problem isn't that you can buy stuff, it's that if you do it's egregiously expensive when compared to competitors with better reputations and track records that also have way easier free to play options to get these items.

In Warframe you can get these Catalysts and Formas in fairly significant amounts for free in their free battlepass system. You can also trade items in game for the premium currency to buy the items instead of paying yourself.

I get that you can say "oh well other games do it, it's just more expensive" or "oh well it's just how Nexon does stuff" but if players never voice their concerns and ask for something to change then nothing will change or it will get worse. I mean just think, wouldn't it be nice if you could buy stuff in this game for even half the price? Literally nothing bad will happen to you if this happens. Only positive things will come of this.

Warframe, Destiny and other looter shooters will have more competition which will encourage them to make the game better. Competition breeds innovation and by accepting crappy systems in games it kills them and removes competition from the market.

.
The onl/y people that get mad are people that allready spend money on the game.

This f2p game is hella expensive compared to other f2p games tbh.
