so while, yes. the grind to unlock them all is rough but skipping that grind to buy it outright will just make it easier for you to enjoy the non grindy content. Like Quests and boss battles.
Yes, there is a major reason to collect/buy them all. You only gain mastery rank from leveling up descendants the first time to level 40. (And doing missions for the first time.) Re-leveling the same ones after a reset no longer gives xp. So basically the only way I know of to get mastery rank 40 is to get every single decendant and max their level.
Good news is, mastery ranks after 15 or so don't give all that many actual equipment/character points. It's mostly just inventory space and another 7 or so points for the next 25 levels.
