Gameplay loop is not fun enough to warrant a 2% drop rate.
2% implies they want you to do hundreds of runs to obtain an item. The stuff they want you to do is not really all that amazing that people will want to do them over and over again till their eyes bleed.
Everything is a chore. Imagine trying to do steel path on warframe on basic Excalibur who has a potato and no forma. And your gun has no forma or potatoes either because you have to deal with a 3% drop chance and then forced to do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like Encrypted vaults.
Imagine how tedious making a forma would be if you had to find secret orokin stashes for a single orokin cell and they could not be gotten anywhere else even as a drop, and then you'd have this game.

Yes, it hard, It's a grind. That's why they gives multiple options to pick. E.g Enzo's material either from grinding amp mat from a basic quest and clear quick and easy grave walker(6%) or fight hangman for it(38%).

They used Enzo as bait for encrypted vaults and Sharen for those stealth missions...

Finally there's always the credit card way... lol.

You ignored Warframe's player base from others platforms, of course...
According to the info I can find, TFD has more players on just steam than warframe has across all platforms.

Also i rather prefer enemies getting stronger faster than slower. In Warframe we sometimes sat in a single mission for like 1,5 hours, before the enemies got strong enough to even be a proper threat to us.
u should try farm at 6th and later wave... while 2 and 4 never drop anything except money. at 8 and 10 wave mobs can just kill u in 0.1 sec even u have 20k def and 1500 hp since there so many of them and with extreme accuracy.
Wave 7-10 difficulty spike so much it is crazy. Warframe is easy because all the necessary mod can be obtained pretty easily even if you have no trading. With warframe market you can get an end game frame less than 10dollar worth of plat. Warframe give a lot of discount as well for plat. TFD is not even remotely come close to that. For Korean game it is already considered to be F2P friendly if you can get end game set less than 100$.

TFD is pretty much what OG vanilla warframe was. DE probably make the decision of saving the whole franchise when they decide to move away from that predatory monetisation and just stick to prime accessories instead. If TFD remain the same, they will not survive 1 year. At the moment those unique aspects that they steal from destiny and warframe is worse compared to their counterpart. I can even compared bunny and ember since they played very similarly, ember had been revamped 3 times in total. Bunny is like the OG vanilla ember playstyle.

Those numbers will not last if even game like helldiver dont last long. Warframe and destiny player will go back to their own respective game. This is not the one that will replace it. It left only the core fans which hopefully good enough for Nexon. Nexon is well known for axing a game that they think not good enough.

It's ok to not like things, go play something else that is more your style. You don't have to like grind games, there are plenty of other video games, you just need to click on the steam "store" tab.

Yeah 100% gotta farm a recon mission for a measly 20% drop rate then do a boring pull my eyes out void fragment 4 times just for the mats to then fight a mini boss of varying difficulty to open a single material and not get what you want and lets not talk about shape stabilizers if you ever even see one I'm honestly surprised they aren't sold in the shop.

I would forgive 2% drop rate on short activities, but a lot of them are locked under mandatory long dialogue, or mandatory forced time gates (like that mission with scanning battlefield and following drone).

So yeah, that's a no no.

Also, this company is the same company that was fined 9 million dollars for making a loot box item 0% chance of dropping, This Sharen code thingie supposedly has a 20% chance of dropping. I spent about 8 hrs here and still nothing at roughly 20 mins a run.
Are these even the correct drop chances?

It's not the repetitiveness of the game that bothers me, it's the encrypted vaults. I don't mind grinding for lockpick balls but the inaccurate timing of those things is downright upsetting. Especially when we are forced to do them for 99% of endgame material.

Actually, the difference was that in the past, Koreans paid for internet by the hour. So they made games that were extremely grindy and cost more in internet fees than it was worth. So cash shops sold items directly in the shop, along with EXP/ITEM boosters, which allowed players to grind for CHEAPER than paying their internet provider.

It is also a matter of handing out new content. It means more costs if you implement new quests with voice, animations and new mechanics in the end game, or just make quests with "kill 1000 of xy" and just raise numbers of damage/levels than actually designing something new. I have absolutely no idea how asians can be content with that.
