Reshade & First Descendent & Easy Anti Cheat

Is Reshade allowed in The First Descendent? Will Easy Anti Cheat block it? Will I get banned? I don't want to test it before I know for sure, I dont want to get banned because Easy Anti Cheat decided that Reshade was an Aimbot or something.

It depends on the game. I use ReShade with Elden Ring, which has EAC and never had any issues. Other games too. But I also have a ban on my account for using ReShade a few years back in a different game. So you never know. It's up to the devs on whether or not they blanket ban this stuff.

I haven't tried it with this game yet but I did see a couple people saying they are using it to help with the washed out colors. They haven't complained about being banned yet.

Reshade changes the game's files and counts as modding so yeah....

After Anthem no one is worse than EA, all of those empty promises to make 2.0...ya I'm done with EA.

Any code injecting by an external program is potentially a cheat. Some games have staff that observes which should be banned and which should not and other just ban everything.

At this particular moment I would expect they are banning everybody then can to make room for new players so I wouldn't risk it.

That doesn't matter to a program designed to look for modification of files. Reshade has always been a 50/50 on online games with an anticheat.

Most big name anti cheats have it whitelisted. I know EAC does. I've used it in plenty of online games with it. The issue I see with this game is Nexon's in house AC that they use in conjunction with EAC. If anything is going to trigger an issue with ReShade, it will be that.

Never use any external mods that use hook parameters like DLL files to inject into a game that is meant to be played Online. If the Anti-Cheat is as annoying as Easy-Anti-Cheat or even like nGuard Game Guard, youre just asking for an account ban.

Its not like back in the day when we could just add skins to World of Warcraft because they were client side textures that didnt have a security check in them to verify they were the correct files.
