Are you saying it's locked in there even if you alt+tab out ?
The main interactions that should unlock cursor are alt+tab, win key, win+tab, or opening pause menu.
It is specifically designed to have full interactible screen without having to worry about cursor jumping in and out erratically and on its own.
So again, does it not unlock on alt+tab ? If it does, it's as designed and they do use similar BP principles like I do.
Also just hitting ESC and being on the menu unlocks it.
three things.....
this is absolutely NOT a unique case. This is literally what most PC players do nowadays; they have multiple monitors and expect that when setting the display to borderless full screen that you have freedom to move the mouse to whatever monitor you'd like without interrupting your game. case in point, Diablo allows you to do borderless full screen but added the option to lock your cursor to the game screen.
hitting Esc does not free up your cursor to travel to other monitors, not sure where/how you're coming to that conclusion.
I'm stunned that people posting in this thread are having trouble understanding what the OP is attempting to convey. it real simple folks, borderless window should allow our mouse cursors to explore BEYOND the monitor the game is running on. If not then it is the same as Fullscreen. I don't understand how the devs added the borderless option but did not apply the actual mechanic it's supposed to do.
Borderless fullscreen protects players from the cursor accidentally going offscreen and downloading prawn.
Well, good for you, I guess.
There is nothing you can do to change this as its a tick box in the UE5 development suite and they ticked it
