CPU Temp at ~78C
PC Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
GPU: RTX 3090
RAM: 32GB
Cooling: Air / 240mm AIO

Been playing this game for a bit and have noticed my CPU temp being at a failry consistent 78C, +/- 1C. The occasional spike going up to about 82C, such as when on loading screens.

Thoughts? I believe I heard the CPU I have can handle up to ~90C everyday without it being a big issue. Just want to know if it's within an acceptable range. Thanks.

Update: Forgot to mention. I'm playing at 4K with High settings, Ray Tracing Off, DLSS is Balanced.

good range for longevity for a cpu is nothing over 65-70C, youll depleting its lifespan if you dont find a fix :(

They'll more than likely upgrade before they see any negatives.

I don't know, I have something very similar but barely go over 50. Could it be badly cooled tower or some software ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with it? Probably not just the game on it's own, even if it heats more than most.

PS: Here or any other program, would not worry about it too much unless you touch 90C, unless you intend to keep your PC for the next decade or more.

I am no expert, but it sounds acceptable to me. While not ideal, it doesn't sound like it's dangerously hot. Should be fine.

78C to 82C is high, but fine, remember this game also taxes the GPU highly, which means more heat in your case, which mean a hotter cpu, since more heat is being dumped into your PC. You can lower the frames a bit, limit it to 60 fps to have the GPU work less hard and in turn CPU as well, since high fps increases cpu workload. Otherwise, getting another casefan, or getting better ones would help out too, even cleaning your pc, and repasting your CPU thermal paste, can do wonders too.

I got a 5800x3d and sit around 66-75C whilst playing this game.
