Which weapon and level to use as transfer for thunder cage?

weapon does not matter, level of the weapon is what the thunder cage ends up at.

its straight up just a transfer of the level

transfer if you feel like you need more dmg and still want to use the thunder cage at the time.

else you can always use another weapon

i suggest around 70 to 80 since you constantly upgrade your weapon and replacing it because you find better weapon dps.

but its up to you if you really like the weapon but be aware you are burning materials for upgrade

i used thunder cage all the way. Upgraded whenever i felt like the colosus i had to fight needed me to have more DPS

i have mod for thunder cage but when i both put on its said still need gun but i have gun so its bug?

It shouldn't be a problem. Like in Warframe you should always have something crafting in the foundry. You get SO MUCH loot that having several precision transfers is actually not that hard. I'm literally upgrading my Thunder Cage every 5 to 10 levels and I still have over 1k of those gold liquid thingies you use on the precision transfer item.

true that, i had 16 leftovers for making weapons lvl 100 when i first hit 100

I had that happen to me and swapping the gun's slot fixed it for me. I just keep the gun that is optimizing the reactor in the first slot basically.
