This is such a slippery slope because in the same vein why don't we implement punishments for people who come severely undergeared or underleveled?

Everyone's time is important to them so if we all stop wasting everyone's time across the board things would be better but bans aren't it on a F2P game. Maybe implementing minimum requirements and smaller punishments for leavers that can lead up to not queueing for X amount of time for chronic leavers but definitely not bans.

Or they could make them less of a pain in the arse, to add to the thing you suggested as something that won't happen.

Gearscore system and just lock too weak geared players out but give everyone a toggle for "queue with sh*tgeared players"

Unfortunately its meant to be a challenge to get you to go back and grind more and buff up.

yet, it's a tricky problem, there're several problems with difficult contant:
-people that come under-prepared and try to get carried
-people that are prepared and don't want to carry people that don't even try
-people that give up really fast when it's not free win

If somebody come with a lvl 1 character on an interception mission, i don't care if he's good, he'll get destroyed, it's a waste of time and punishing the leave isn't healthy.
while if the fight is just tight and 1 guy just don't want to push because it's difficult, then the leave penalty is justified.

There's a similar problem in FFXIV, where if there was the message "new player, additional reward" while the group was there to farm. it would be an instant disband because people are fed up to deal with carrying other players.

This is exactly why I left a couple of runs for my Valby skill mod. I'm all for leveling but trying to bring a level 1-10 to a level 30+ instance is not what I find enjoyable as a teammate. Did it in intercepts too bc I'm not going to carry a lvl4 Bunny through DB.

People wouldn't leave as much if Nexon implemented gear requirements and option to opt out of crossplay with console players for the void interception, the moment I see console players for bosses like the Hanged Man I just quit out asap as it will be a complete waste of time playing with controller players since they can't aim at the mouth with quick and erratic movements.

I mean if i see a lvl 14 in a lvl 24 zone im gonna waste my time carrying him.
This game needs gear requirements because all i see right now is people boosting their low level friends.

Character levels also don't matter as much if they are decked out with lvl 100 weapons, lvl 100 reactors/components, and the right modules.

I can go in on any pre Hang Man boss fight and out dps everyone on a lvl 1 character kitted out with lvl 100 guns, reactors, and components. Who's going to do more dps, a lvl 1 character with something like a lvl 100 Thundercage or a lvl 40 character with lvl 50-60 weapons?

I essentially have 30-40k def on a lvl 1 character right now with my components and modules.

well it matters, you modules are multiplicative compared to the base health/def/shield.
my lvl 40 Viessa have around 3500hp i believe
my lvl 1 Freyna drop to 400hp with the same mods

edit: I guess I messed up my stuff. The only thing that change is the level of the skills and the final level that gives additional mod slot

If its in the open zone then I agree but if its in an instanced area I have my own personal opinion against carrying through that stuff

People leave because some m0r0ns fail to read simple info about the battle or watch a video on how to.
I'm not wasting my time on those tools any more!

It matters especially for survival. Base HP/DEF/MP etc is non-existent even if you stack external components and winging it. What's more, you get ZERO EXP for character and firearm for void interception runs. You went into battle not as the best or but as the worst.

A simple 15~30 min run in hardmode in the field will boost you all the way up real fast. So... stop wasting people time.
.augis Jul 20, 2024 @ 7:01am
Too many people are coming into the fights under-geared, hoping for a quick carry. It's quite easy to see when the group's damage output is too low to kill the boss within the time limit, so why waste time till the end?

The best solution, if you want a headache and stress-free experience, is to solo Colossi fights.
