The main quest just stops!?

After the Bunny journal mission it tells me to continue the main quest line until one of the NPCs is back, however I have no main quest available. So now I'm stuck with no main quest to continue and have to just do whatever. This is one of the more frustrating issues with this game. I don't know If I'm doing something wrong, the game is failing to advise me of the prerequisites, or its glitched.

Anyone else have this problem, or know how to move forward?

Run an over world mission thats how i fixed my friends game

Usually in games, that means go do another quest or go level up. Usually repeating a quest on the world map is enough.

It's usually a game's way of telling you, "go away so I can reload this NPC."
