Elemental attack questions
So if I have a gun and I add a mod like "Toxic Enhancement" which adds toxic attack equal to 8% of my firearm attack, this means that if each bullet does 100, then it will gain 8 toxic, meaning the total will be 108, and if the thing is strong against toxic it will be between 100-107, and if it's weak against toxic then it will be above 108. Is this correct?

Then, the problematic one I see is mods like "Refrigerate Gunbarrel", which says "Chill ATK "23%"... This has a different wording, so I'm guessing it means something different. So is this like, "for anything ALREADY DOING chill damage, that damage gets boosted by 23%"? Is that right?
So like, using the previous example, if I get a toxic mod like this, then adding it will boost that 8 toxic damage on the gun by 23%? And then if I use any toxic abilities from my Descendant, those will be boosted too by 23%?

I just want to figure out how to mod properly, and the wording is throwing me off somewhat.
Thanks for the help!

I just did some basic testing and yes, the wording matters. Modules like elemental priority and elemental gunbarrel do boost elemental attack that already exists, while the elemental enhancements add that damage type, and the damage added is boosted by element ATK%

yes, one is providing additional element equal to % of your total atk, while the other is boosting your total atk of that element. Modules on your weapons will not interact with your descendant, so your descendants skills will not gain 23% as per your example.
