BLACK SCREEN AFTER PATCH
After patching the game I can no longer play it. When I launch the game I get a black screen and nothing loads. I've already tried verifying my game files and this made no difference. If anyone has had this problem and has overcome it or if anyone has any useful suggestions I'd appreciate it, thanks.

I got a high end PC, and am experiencing crashing that sends my computer to a black screen/restart. This is the only game that has ever done that. I think the game is poorly optimized and they dont even know how to begin to fix it. FPS isnt the problem for me. Running the game easily at 240+ fps no problem. But the game works the CPU so hard that the game will crash the PC, and the PC will restart to prevent hardware damage from the high work load on the CPU. I want the like the game but man its been just problem after problem since the very moment it launched. Sad thing is in the beta i didnt experience this a single time. And its on the exact same PC. Sorry you are going through it, but you are not alone.

I keep getting black screen and have to force close it, this is disappointing.

Same, I was playing perfectly fine this morning but after the patch nothing works. As soon as the screen with game initialising disappears, straight to black screen. I have to bring up task manager to close it. It says the program isn't responding. This never happened even once pre-patch.

Just turn Raytracing off by reverting changes on Nvidia Geforce Experience ;)

This fixed all the problems I was having. If you are still having stuttering or a lock on the title screen, and you are not running a super high end PC, then I suggest to lower your settings down to High and it should work fine.

I just got mine working again after the recent patch, had to delete all settings files. File path was C:\Users\insert own user account here\AppData\Local\M1\Saved\Config\Windows removed all of them. Don't forget to put your own user account after the C:\Users\
Hope this helps.

I think you need to install a new driver update for your GPU.

i reinstalled the game, cleaned junk files, reinstalled gpu drivers - black screen (game worked fine before the patch). I wonder what this patch does extra behind the scenes...

Yep, mine black screen too. I updated the gpu drivers, restart, and run as admin, and nothing worked. This is not a good start...

Haven't played this game before. Today first launched, stuck at splashscreen. No settings available on GeForce Experience. Updated driver. Still doesn't work. Yay.

Check something for me. Open task manager (make sure its forced to stay on top so you can still see it) Launch the game.
When I do, my CPU immediately spikes to 100 percent utilisation whereas my GPU doesn't appear to be doing anything. I want to see if this is what is happening for everyone else.

Exactly the same happens for me, 100% CPU Usage whenever I launch it. My GPU has 0% everytime. I guess you're right. (Edit: Goes down by a significant Amount 1-2 Minutes after game start: 100% -> 60%)

I'm thinking this is a CPU utilisation issue, I tried every trick in the book and nothing works. We may need to wait for a second "patch" LOL

This game uses CPU not GPU. By the way, i am also unable to play the game after the update. Everytime i try to launch the game it chrashes on the startup screen. Before the update everything was running smooth and i have played 32 hours before the patch.
