Crashing on shader loading
The game is crashing every time i go through a loading screen when shaders are loading. First time i was able to get through it by enabling FSR and setting it to Ultra Performance and once in i was able to go back to native and the game worked fine. This allowed be to get through the tutorial area. But then when first loading into Albion the game crashed once again, and now it crashes every time even if i turn FSR back on and set it to Ultra Performance. Even tried to put everything on low but it didn't help. So now i can't get past the character select screen. I played in beta with this same PC and never had any issues. Very frustrating. Guess i will dust of my old PS4 and try it out there until they fix this mess, if they fix it that is

I don't have anything overcloacked and my CPU is i7-6700K 4GHz which is not affected by the 10th and 11th gen issue with UE5 games. I played many other UE5 games and none had this issue. Graphics card is RX 7600 so that shouldn't be an issue

People do not really understand that there is no UE5 issue, it never was.

Also, Intel AIBs are overclocking Intel CPUs by default for over a decade, that is not specific to latest gen.

Crashes on shader compile are in vast majority caused by unstable CPU, no matter of the brand or the generation.

Yea i already tried all of these, sadly none of them worked. I think i will just stick to my PS4 for now

Fixed it by reducing my Performance Ratio speeds in Intel Tuning Utility from 57x to 53x (i7 14700k)

Try this:
-turn off all what you can turn off in graphics menu
-turn low all graphics levels (or medium but shaders and all dlss settings must be low or turned off)
-turn screen resolution to minimal in game

When shaders are ready and game loads you can turn back all graphics settings what you like, but if you exit game to main menu or exit game this magic trick must be done again.

Hope it helps you as it helps to me. :steamsunny:

There was an update now, and after updating now i can't get into the game at all, it just crashes on launch. So its even worse now. Im giving up on PC version for now as none of the fixes suggested worked for me

1.Verify game files in steam

2. Go into AMD Adrenalin Software, Gaming/Graphics/Reset shader cache.
If that doesn't work

3. https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/GPU-601.html
Download the cleanup tool and do a fresh install of your graphics driver.

4. Run sfc/scannow in command prompt as admin to check windows system files, yes they do get corrupt

Did all of this, still crashing. This last patch made it even worse than before

Try this if you have problems with shaders:

My game is running well after this, but you must do this every time when you start game again. :steamfacepalm:

try downclocking your cpu with intel extreme utility (if your cpu supports it) and then once the compile is done, put it to normal
