How to get playstation button promps?

Hi, im currently using a duelsense edge controller but i keep getting xbox button promps, i tried used DS4 windows so i was using a ps4 controller instead but i kept getting xbox button promps, i really hate seeing xbox buttons when using a ps controller so if there's anyone that could help that'd be amazing, thanks :)

If there isn't a way to change it ingame, since some games allow that, than the developer has to do it because its a UI thing.

ya its just annoying because for like a couple minutes i was able to get PS button promps showing but the X button no longer worked and i havent been able to get ps buttons to show up since then, seems like ill just have to live with it for now

You're suppose to disable steam input in order to show the PS icon. To do this, right-click on the game, then click properties -> controller, then select "disable steam input".

I tried this and I cannot even play the game (cannot control the character ingame)

What if I WANT steam input to be on and also have playstation controls?

I used DSX. Just search it here in the store.There's a free version(which works just fine), but I wound up buying the full version anyway.. Now I use that instead of DS4.
