Bad colors
What is the deal with the colors? I bought a color that looked really good in the shop, like shiny golden metal. Then applied it to a costume, and looked awesome in the shop menu.

Then when I was back in game, it looked like a flat and faded like a banana with the saturation turned way down.

Because they use different lighting in the character screen than they do in the world.

It's even worse because if you use the color once, it is gone for good.

Ok this is beyond dumb.
I thought it worked like a reusable item that you get back if you "unequip" it.

But this is valuable information to me, so thanks. Best not to spend actual money on colors, then.

I wont sugar coat it, the colours in this game is quite awful to the point I won't even buy it if i had money. However the game give free colours if you do medal achievements.

Nope, I tested it. I had two of the pink colors, and I had one equipped to Viessa's visor, then I replaced it with the gold, then I have one pink one left.

So like you can equip them temporarily to preview them, but if you leave the store and "apply" the paint, it disappears from your inventory and can never be used again, unless you buy more.

Game designers really should learn when to go for realism and when not to... :mhwhappy:

This almost looks like a difference in settings, like the shop is showing you the character model with Ultra settings, Raytracing and RTX type stuff turned on so its your model in its best possible way and then in game its your actual settings so you lose the metalic shine, could that be a possibility?

. . .this is exactly what is going on. The game renders in a "test environment" that is highly flattering to color and graphical aesthetic. . .even if in the game world a lot of these features aren't as pronounced (or possibly turned off).

No, even with everything set to ultra, the results are the same.
