I had a handful of groups where I did a good amount of reviving in some of the "dungeons", which was pretty easy as Ajax, just drop a shield and revive in relative safety.
I thought that the concept of full support classes have long gone from MMOs. And the pieces scattered among the remaining classes.
I used to love full support classes. The only problem is that it was dependant of other classes to level up and equipments, and people are often rude.
The main issue is people who are almost dead running away from you as you heal them, then dying. There's definitely a place for healers, but people can't stand still
The main story missions and early Void Intercepts are absolutely no indication of what difficulty is like on the higher Void Intercepts or when you're wanting to push past wave 15 in events. Healers are mandatory for high group performance at endgame.
A really good Jayber player that knows how to buff their turrets properly, blow up their turrets properly and DPS at the same time can make the entire team practically immortal in most situations. Other players will (hopefully) quickly learn that defending Jayber's healing station is a number 1 priority.
Jayber is also the best by far for solo farming wave events.
Regarding Jayber, and I don't know if this is still the case, but in the crossplay beta Jayber's healbot did more than heal players, it was also repairing the structure that we were defending.
