premium currency?

Can you earn the premium currency in game or is stuff like ultimate descendants locked behind a paywall?

You can't earn premium currency. All ultimate descendants can be farmed in game so nothing is locked behind the paywall. Its just if you wanna have it right away.

Also, they had a Q&A and spoke about having a trading system in the future similar to Warframe. So we could potentially be able to trade currency in the future.

Thanks, happy to hear that! It's rare that MMOs allow that these days. Or is it so super grindy that it's not a real option after all?

Yeah WF is what I had in mind primarily, that made earning premium stuff fairly easy once you had an ok level.

Aye warframe is the same as in Pay to Progress, but it's not required to get something what others cannot. Digital Extremes have done this for along time in WF and it still works, ofcourse they got taken over or fused by Tencent IIRC.

well, i only know helldivers and warframe to be the only games to even have that system.
But from what i heard, it would take several hundreds or even thousand of hours to get a ultimate skin..

Yea so its honestly very similar to that. If you have experience in Warframe its the same, minus the trading for now.

Additionally people are complaining about farming being tough but honestly its a given. The game just came out yesterday, once people are fully leveled and have theirs guns, you will see farming will start to soar and be quicker. Warframe was the same on release, took forever... it only goes fast now because of the years players put in and are willing to help others farm.

Some Skins are only in bundles tho.

Yeah okay that's skins though, but wouldn't a descendant which you can put together be another character instead of a skin or am I wrong here?

in the beta, it took me 12h of following the story to unlock everything for a new character (normal not ultimate), so if this is still the same, and judging from the shop pricing, I'd say it would probably take 30h of playing/grinding, to get the materials for an ultimate character, but then there is the issue with the droprate of the specific blueprint.
