Imagine thinking your aging rig will be able to run the latest tech xD
They try to be the jack of all trades pc hardware company when in reality people care about them only because of X3D and Epyc CPUs, everything else they do including software is terrifying to say the least.
There's a reason Nvidia owns 80% of the PC consumer market in GPU sales.
I'm talking about people assuming they can run newer games with old hardware
But not like i'm affected, since i'm an "nvidia fanboy" after all
i'm an Nvidia enjoyer as well. but i gotta call the cap when i see it.
5800x3d 32gigs ram 4080 undervolted slightly over clocked
Temps (without my fan running) 80C cpu 72C GPU Fan on -20 degrees both parts
No Frame Cap
Ray Tracing High
Ultra Most Settings
High Shadows, Global Illumination, Reflections
DLSS OFF
Frame Gen OFF
75fps min 82 max 70 1% lows

The only issues i get are when servers take a poop. Which is infrequent enough to not be a problem but happens enough to be notable.
Medium settings
AMD Quality

with a RTX 4050 laptop
(I don't see any difference in graphics between Ultra and Medium)
Yes it can but that doesnt mean it is done with quality.
Nvidia DLSS is vastly superior image quality vs FSR.
FSR smears and blurs the image dramatically.
AMD Frame Gen is also terrible and introduces significantly more input lag WITHOUT giving you a smoother gameplay experience.
Nvidia FG by comparison the input lag is down in the .02-.03 milisecond range while increasing your PERCIEVED FPS by 25%-50% making your brain think the game is smoother on the eyes.
If we are just talking about The First Descendant... this game has been in development for like 6 years and in UE5 for like 2 years. I wouldnt really say its a NEW game. Its made using old tech. lol it aint even got Lumen.
This is the one. Games are only getting worse.
