Uninstalled - predatory game design

Gameplay was fun. But they way everything is design to make you spend money is really showing. And reading more about how Nexon have been lying about droprates in for a in-game cash shop item, that was supposedly being able to drop. Actually had 0% drop chance.

Someone noted, look at wiki for Server closed. And it was staggering to see. I value my time and I have the concern that this game is not worth investing time in. Games should be fun and fair. Making a great game, rather than to design a game with maximum effort to make the player spend money. I would rather spend money on a good game to a company that respects its players, their money and their time.

Nexons mindset is showing in the game design and I have morals. Even though I vastly enjoy the gameplay. I don't want to support this kind of mentality or business practice.

You might say who cares, I think you should care for what you accept in your life and your choices. That is what defines your future.

If the droprates had better chances i wouldn't mind but i think back to warframe for me sadly

Funny enough, this game got me a bit interested in warframe, since I've heard a lot of good and the company is fair with rewards.

Warframe Destiny is not much different to this but i would give a recommendation having played for 900 hours myself but its still a very Grindy Game, so you gotta like this kind of Gameplay loop.

Im very close myself...isnt turning out the way i thought and having trouble already....plus it looks like the grind will be insane if not spending real $$ and I dont have time for that kind of grind..
we were warned though that it would be pay to play and many did not believe, I do now seeing how long the grind will be if you dont.

I have 1127 hours in Warframe & 300 hours in Destiny 2 this grind isn't different. I would even say both those games grind is probably worst lol. The games not predatory, you just have things you wanna buy but not the money to buy them. Now I don't agree with their pricing especially when there's better things to do with your money.

It's a tricky thing to navigate tbh. Make the grind high enough to keep people attention but also make the prices high enough to not have the server flooded with just cash toons and no one actually playing the game and making it to late game content.

As if warframe isn't an insane grind game. The only good thing in wf is the ability to earn plat by selling your stuff.

I remember grinding for multiple 10 h just for one prime frame. Doing the same void missions over and over and over getting only duplicates.

Yeah Nexon is Nexon. One of the worst and greediest companies in the world. I played vindictus at it's prime so I know the drill... but as long as this game is fun I keep playing it. Without paying money ofc. As if I would give Nexon money rofl.

Their devs however sometimes do great work which I appreciate. It's mostly the suits at Nexon that should just ****** themselfs.

This is perhaps the most pleasant and articulate post I've seen on the Steam discussions of any game in...well years.

Yeah, I'm typically wary of any Nexon published title these days. Just one big morally bankrupt company that strips any joy from their games.
The game is VERY Warframe, but that's not an issue for me considering how left behind I feel with their constant content output. I was looking for an alternative to it that I could start from scratch with, but boy The Last Descendant REALLY wants you to grind every resource or pay for it in cash if you can't wait.
For a UE5 game too, the performance and visual issues have been ass.
I'm...enjoying the game, but it's been oversold a lot. It hasn't changed much at all from the betas either.
I can see interest dropping off from this game hard in a few weeks once people start to see the seams tear open a little.

Well, no matter for me. I'm still playing Erdtree and Zenless Zone Zero comes out 07/04. I'd rather give that game my F2P hours.

Compared to this, wf is very fair. Its a game that has a soul, depth and dev's who actually care about it.

This is exactly what I assumed would happen when I saw the hype and comparison to Warframe. Warframe has ridiculously many things to grind for so the grind for one thing doesn't need to be unreasonable. Even brand new frames can often be obtained in 1-2h assuming you're not a total beginner.

It can be difficult to learn and you have to use wikis a lot, but that's only because there's so ridiculously much depth to it, so many different game mechanics and systems. But that in turn is what will keep you engaged in the long run. Without depth there's no longevity. If you were referring to something other than learning curve then I don't know what that would be.
