PC is overheating (Problem Fixed) (FPS from 120 changed to 60)
My AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D with a AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX is overheating after a Short Time and my PC is chrashing.
Edit: Changed the FPS from 120 to 60. Now it works

Looks like the game is pretty poorly optimized for some systems

He bought a $2000 PC, but he uses it as if it were a $1000 one. :happykitty:

Utilization CPU/GPU on 100% shouldn't crash system. If so, it's mean something wrong in your PC. Weak PSU, overheating, RAM errors, etc.

IMHO the game not soless resource-intensive like The Finals for example, or Helldivers 2.

a lot of people have a pc that it's so badly built that it can't handle having 100% cpu/gpu/ram usage without crashing because of overheating or a crappy psu/ram stick and instead of wasting 10 minutes of their lives downloading a simple benchmark they just cry about the game crashing their pc
Their problem.

Do not judge. There are people who expect a computer to turn it on and play in peace. The truth is that the more powerful the computer is, more problems appear.
Dude, I've been bouncing around the CS2, FH4, FH5, Hunt Showdown forums, it's always the same "game crashes, fix the game". A person doesn't realize that the problem is in his computer. I tried to help, some successfully, some not so much. But it gets tiresome after a while. People don't want to listen, and as an argument they give weak arguments like "Well, another game works". The other game works, but this one doesn't. But it works for others. So should the game be fixed, or should the computer be tested?

One of them argued with me for a week. Then he wrote, "The problem was a faulty HDD." Although I told him to test his hardware right away.

...frame capping reduced your load... uh... Okay I think anyone gamer enough to be here would know that. But yay for you I guess.
Gamejunky05 3 JUL 2024 a las 1:51 p. m.
So um what was the high temps you were getting?

If your PC overheats it always means you have a heat dissipation problem with your computer.
Doesn't matter if a game or software can be particularly demanding, your cooling solution should still manage to keep it below dangerous temperatures, if it doesn't then you have a problem, and it's not the game.
I would check that the heatsink you're using is good enough, that the thermal paste has been applied correctly, that all your fans are working properly and there's no dust inside your case.
Consider it's summer, so outside temps are higher and heatsinks aren't as effective as during winter.
My way older and less powerful system with Ryzen 7 2700X and RTX 2070 reaches top temperatures of 72°C for GPU and 70°C for the CPU.

The thing is that this game is the only thing that makes my PC run at 100% out of nowhere. All other games run without problems and load. Be it Eldenring on High Garfik, Witcher or Cyberpunk with ray tracing

Even then, your system should NEVER overheat even at 100% utilisation, so it's a cooling issue from your end for sure

^^This guy is not wrong. This definitely shows you have an issue.

Had some of the same issues with a 7900 XTX and a 7800x3d in other games that pushed the cpu temp to the limit. New pc, the issue was the 360 AIO from thermalright that was not a high end one for that CPU, upgrade it to the 360 AIO H150i Elite from corsair and i have never seen it go past 70º for a lot of games, it has been now 4 months since the upgrade and new build, running super cool no issues. Hope this helps!

Using I-5 -12400 - around 50-55C and 7600xt - 61C max... 2k rez etc...

might do that when the games back up. i had it at the lowest setting possible, and my cpu STILL, heats up. and this is the only game that really heats up.
(have RE4 at high settings and never had to worry about the cpu heating aka feeling heat from it)
lacres181 3 JUL 2024 a las 10:56 p. m.
id like to confirm, that changing to 120, to 60, DID NOT, make my CPU overheat. regardless of the settings i have the game at (high, low) like at 120, less than 2 hours in, i could literally feel the HEAT, coming from the tower. and its in the high heat over here.

If capping your FPS fixed the issue, then you've really bad airflow or even dust in your PC. Ryzen CPUs usually get very hot if your PC doesn't have a good cooler. My CPU went up to 86° playing Warzone but it never crashed my PC because ryzen cpus can go up to 100° without crashing.

After installing a new cooler and getting a new case my temps dropped to 60-70° which is totally fine for a ryzen cpu.
