PC is overheating (Problem Fixed) (FPS from 120 changed to 60)
My AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D with a AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX is overheating after a Short Time and my PC is chrashing.
Edit: Changed the FPS from 120 to 60. Now it works

Looks like the game is pretty poorly optimized for some systems

I am at around 62-66c never above that in an all maxed out setting with raytracing on. Some are saying they are hitting 90c in some areas how? But i am on water cooling with 3 monsta 360 rads and t30 fans. 4090 Gpu at 42-45c full load. What are people hitting on air cooling in this game?
oddly enough, my game runs fine in every zone so far, given i only got to Vespin so far, but no real dips or stutters.

Lock the frame rate to under 90 may fix it.
so, your pc is badly build or faulty

if the reason your pc is crashing is because you have 100% cpu/gpu usage then either your cooling solution sucks, you have a faulty psu or you live inside an oven

What exactly is overheating? While this game is extremely demanding it's not why your PC is overheating, your cooling solution needs to be re evaluated.

I don't think so. My cores are running stable and the GPU is doing what it's supposed to! With a core temperature of 51 degrees with water cooling and 800 rpm, the game runs on Ultra in 2k resolution!

Sometimes the problem is more with the user system than with the game itself!

Utilization CPU/GPU on 100% shouldn't crash system. If so, it's mean something wrong in your PC. Weak PSU, overheating, RAM errors, etc.

IMHO the game not soless resource-intensive like The Finals for example, or Helldivers 2.

I dont got any problems besides some micro stutters (rare) also with AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 64 GB RAM

Wait guys..... I think I know the issue.

OP has an Alienware PC. That would explain everything.

To fix overheat and shut doun ps for AMD users---> go control panel--->power options--->create power plan. Choose "Hi perfomance" and set profile name.--->NEXT--->create. Choose change plan settings--->change advanced power settings.--->PCI express---> link State power management--->settings choose "moderate power settings". Next choose processor power management---> minimum processor state---> settings set from 5% to 80%. Clik apply. In "maximum processor state" set from 100% to 90%. Again "apply" and finaly "OK". For this game this power settings soves overheat processor problem.

What do you mean OVERHEAT? Ryzen will throttling at 90-95 C. It can't OVERHEAT. And yes it can works under this temps for a long time. But if you're worried about it, get 360 AIO.

a lot of people have a pc that it's so badly built that it can't handle having 100% cpu/gpu/ram usage without crashing because of overheating or a crappy psu/ram stick and instead of wasting 10 minutes of their lives downloading a simple benchmark they just cry about the game crashing their pc

Do not judge. There are people who expect a computer to turn it on and play in peace. The truth is that the more powerful the computer is, more problems appear.
