100% Disk Usage no matter the settings

am i crazy or is 100% usage on for this game nuts? my pc is no slouch and i've tried ultra to low settings and it still stays at 100% which causes micro stuttering. not sure if 100% disk usage is normal. i'd like to say its not.

i used the Resource Monitor to see what exactly it was and it shows "M1-Win64-Shipping.exe" as the culprit.

My PC
5900X
RTX 4080 Super
32gb RAM
Hard drive in question: Seagate FireCuda HDD 8TB

this doesnt happen with other games so is this an optimization thing? something i can fix on my end?

Update: so after getting an SSD, it still has 100% usage. Sure it loads faster but still the same thing. The reason I brought this up was minor stuttering that kept happening. It's still present so it's just a server connection issue from time to time. Everyone still on an hdd, don't worry about the people bashing. It's just an optimization thing. Sure an SSD is nice but not necessary.

For the people who are doing the bashing, regurgitating things you've seen on on yt or an article to put someone down for their build doesn't make you knowledgeable about the subject and it's not helpful to troubleshooting . If anything, it just further proves the point that you're not helpful or know what you're talking about. To those that fall under this, hope you guys learn to be better people.

SSD is A must for this game installed it first on my Hdd then i got freezes and stucked in every place after i just moved the game to my ssd all this problems disappears

I am having the same issue as well. Honestly, i haven't found a fix or any answers and i am pretty much running everything on low at this point just to be able to tolerate it. From what i have found out, it's a CPU issue. UE5 games are no joke and at this point, i might as well avoid every game that comes out that has been built with it.

i think u have a better pc than me i have very old pc i5 4670k and rx 480 and iam able to play with 50 fps

You should not be playing games on a HDD in 2024 really bad you need a SSD NVME Drive!

Try installing it on an SSD I think that will pretty much solve your problem. My PC is not that good but I don't experince any stutter at all, because I installed it on my SSD.

NVME is a waste of money. Even a Sata SSD would be much better than a HDD.
