Game causing system restart
First launch I was able to play for 5 mins then my system restarted automatically, 2nd launch system restarted at anti cheat screen, 3rd launch system restarted at the main menu. My system is more than capable of running this game at ultra settings native 1080p (ryzen 5700x, rtx 3060 12gb, 32gb ram), my cpu & gpu are not overheating. No other game is causing my system to restart so clearly the issue is with The First Descendant.

This is pretty simple really. If your system is rebooting without your permission, its your problem. There is nothing any game should be able to do to cause your well maintained, optimally running system to completely reboot without your express permission. If its happening its a problem with your system. A poorly coded program or game should merely crash to desktop without dropping your entire system. Since its dropping your entire system, its your systems problem ultimately, whether you like it or not. Sorry. Id get digging into the nitty gritty if this was my system.
So all the games that I have played till now that are even more hardware intensive like alan wake 2 cyberpunk 2077 phantom liberty horizon forbidden west etc did not cause my system to restart but the fist descendant is causing a restart means that my system is at fault? huh i call BS.
You can call it anything you want, but in the end, its your system and YOU are going to have to fix whatever is wrong. No one else is going to do it for you.. Good luck.

This is literally your PSU's power spike protection because it's too weak for your system. But... okay?:lilacstare:

You can wait if you like of course and Nexon might accidentally change something that allows your system to appear okay, but its not. I guarantee you will see this problem creep up again in some other game or software eventually. Your system has a bad trigger in it somewhere that TFD is hitting. Its only a matter of time before some other game hits it too. Again, as a 30 year IT systems guy that has literally built many hundreds of systems (I maintain operator call centers), nothing should make your system reboot without your permission, period. No game, or program should be able to do that if your system is running properly.

NP, Mr. PC Gamer since 2006, lol
i5 12400f + gtx 1660s - no problems
You know the solution but you pretend to not understand, pretty typical of someone with a prebuilt pc.
u said it urself buddy your psu is too ♥♥♥♥! sucks 2 suck! :///

Last year I had system crashing/restarting/shutting down when i started to play New World.
And it was not problem in another games and even CPU/GPU benchmarks were fine. In end I found it was problem with specific older series of Seasonic PSU, and it was triggering on Transient load change, ie when new scene loading in game and cpu goes from full load to low and back to full.

You can try run Furmark as most demanding GPU stress test (space is pausing/resuming rendering) and see if you have GPU related problem, though restarting on Anticheat starting part might be something else.

You might also try to check and lower your memory speed and as others mentioned update you motherboard bios. There was a lot of improvements to CPU and memory speed stability
sucks 4 u ;//////

Seems pretty realistic to me. Lets boil it down:
Your pc should not turn off by itself without you choosing to turn it off.
That's a fact. What's stupid or nonsense about it? Trick question, nothing is.

I completed cinebench test and it was finished without causing any BSOD or pc restart, max cpu temp was 71 degrees, my cpu is not oc'd and then i ran unigine heaven benchmark again same result no BSOD or automatic restart and max gpu temp was 77 degrees. I have a MSI tomahawk b450m mobo with 2022 bios.

That would be poorly optimized game...

why would you avoid updating your bios that's the real question if you're not going to take people's advice that trying to help you don't waste your time and my time! If you don't believe me keep on wasting your time! Have fun and a good night!
Why would you suggest updating your BIOS for a fricking game? That's not how that works. BIOS updates are to be AVOIDED unless there is a significant update required due to the risk of bricking the system. A BIOS update does NOTHING for software unless there are unstable voltage/clock issues with a specific board vendor. You certainly were wasting time. Buh bye.
