Stop a ♥♥♥♥. I will continue posting what is required to run this DX12 game and not getting DX12 error. Educate yourself and assume that you must update your Windows OS and GPU drivers to the latest or minimum required version to support DirectX12 Agility SDK runtime.
the os build on the link you provided is 19045.4529
what now?
tried to run on compatibility mode
any other idea that could help?
Are you using the discrete or integrated graphics chip?
its a laptop
This is pretty much your options. Laptop guy you might be out of luck but i dunno.
"I'm going to say some stuff that might be obvious but since no one said what they did already Im just gonna say all my ideas.
1. Make sure you're on win 10+, it's 2024. You can remove/disable cortana and all the other stuff you don't want, I'll leave that up to you and google though.
2. if you are, make sure your gpu supports dx12.
3. if you are, and you have dx12 (use dxdiag to find out) then update your GPU drivers.
4. If you did, and it still doesn't work, try launching steam in windows 8 compatibility mode and click launch as administrator.
if you did all that and it still doesn't work i dunno what to tell you.
You NEED a base line level graphics card that can do dx12 i think this would be nvidia 9xx series and higher. For DXDIAG, just click start and type in dxdiag, the icon is a blue circle with a yellow X or something. Click this, wait for it to load and if you have DirectX12. It will say right on the bottom of the very first page.
Hope one of these helps yall"
